I have a squirrelly Blue Heeled that loves to help withholds at the farm. However, his excitement causes him to sometimes chase or bark at the horses. I borrowed a friend's training collar for a couple of days and decided to invest in my own. Chose this one based on price and reviews.It's an amazing training aid. I use the beep option when he is out of sight to bring him to me. I use the vibrating buzz option as a warning, and have only used the shock option once or twice as a last resort. He definitely knows the difference between having the collar on and not having it on. He behaves FAR better when he has it on, even with the power off.I use a large clip to secure the remote to my belt loop to keep both hands free while working. Battery life is great, comes with a dual charger. Highly recommended, especially for the price.

I like everything about this EXCEPT the shock part. I have a white english lab. When I put the collar on, crank up the shock to 100 and shock him, he stands there. With past collars I have owned, when you shock the dog, he squeals and jumps. He knows he has been shocked. With this one, the shock does not affect him at all. Sound works, vibration works, shock does nothing. I have tested the collar with the tester and it shows that it is indeed working. I don't know what the deal is. I like that this collar has 3 settings. High pitched sound, vibration and shock. I just wish the shock part worked.

Beep volume not high enough nor adjustable. The shock collar I had before this one was very good volume. It is handy to beep to affirm the collar is ready and connected is why this is needed.

I bought this collar a week ago. We only put it on him at night to deter crying in his kennel, only had to use it a handful of times. Tonight my pup was super whiny and began wailing when my husband tried to touch him, so we looked at his neck thinking it was just on too tight but there was blood under it. We thought maybe the prongs had punctured his throat but when we took it off it’s clearly burns on his neck. We don’t use it during the day, so it had to have been tonight that it malfunctioned.

Works great! We have a small dog, but it can be adjusted really small and the intensity turned down. We only use the beep and vibrate because she's too scared of getting shocked.

It's just to unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. I strapped it to my own leg, and tried it out for myself. Changed settings and mode and found no pattern of when it failed. Just random times it failed. And other than the beeper, you're unable to know if it's working when on the dog. I won't be using it anymore...wasted my money.

This item works great in training my coonhound!
