Poor instructions
The lock itself is good. Simple, well-made construction.The instructions are poor. The portion about the 2 1/8 inch collar gives no indication as to how to remove the collar. Similarly, there is no indication about how to separate the interior lock ring from the exterior trim and handle. (There is a one mil Allen key that only fits the set screw to remove the thumb screw required to separate the Loring from the exterior trim]Got the lock installed. Working fine. Had to figure out more than should have been necessary.

Beware don’t buy deadbolt !
The instructions on this round deadbolt lock are absolutely horrible. There are several steps left out. I purchased this lock based on reviews and forgot to check negative reviews and I regret not doing so. Big waste of time. Amazon should be ashamed !

This is a crazy good value
I had a Slage deadbolt in my amazon basket and at the last minute I thought I would roll the dice on the Amazon Basics deadbolt instead. The quality is great, has a very nice look and was a fraction of the price. I highly recommend.
