Rocco Bormioli 4 Seasons Jar gr 1500 Transparent

This is a heavy, well made jar. I use the smaller ones ("quart") for storage but the 50 oz is great for brewing iced tea and for pickling stuff. The picture shows regular pickles (about 8-9, six inch cucumbers sliced up in there) doing their collective thing. I have also done pickled beets and eggs (one 16 oz can of whole beets and 10 regular chicken eggs). Very nice sitting out to display things or as pantry jars. The one piece lid is nice because you're not dropping separate lids and rings trying to get them off and on when you need something out of the jar. I run hot tap water in them before filling with heated tea water. Check the manufacturer's recommendations for doing anything like that. They seem to go though the dishwasher bottom rack ok. I have washed mine repeatedly without problems but they also hand wash nice. I was impressed with them performance-wise. I will buy a couple more.

I think this is equivalent to 1.5 quarts. I like the quality and will probably get some uses out of it because I'd like to get away from plastic and waxed containers, e.g., milk and juice. It's more difficult to handle due to its shape (round); the rectangular containers are easier in this regard. However, the quality and design are attractive.

This is a well made jar with a well made 1 piece lid, and as stated in another review, it is regular size, not wide mouth. Unfortunately the jar will not take a standard regular sized lid, only the lid it comes with. Replacement Ball or Kerr canning lids are too short.

Have always loved these Italian jars. Good price and not a single one was broken or damaged. I use them for canning, for food storage (rice, quinoa, oats, nuts, etc.) Even bought the smallest ones to have uniform spice jars in my pantry. Since they are glass, I reuse them when I need to and they sterilize well. Never have the previous food/spice smell in them.

I liked The Clarity of the glass and the fit and finish of the lids .

I specifically bought this large jar to make home made Kahlua in it. The description failed to mention that it was not to be used for alcohol - mainly because of the plastic inside of the cap. Fortunately I found a work around by using a canning jar lid. Glad that fit.

due dei vasi sono arrivati rotti l'imballaggio era un pò fragile e la scatola non indicava oggetti fragiliil rivenditore a provveduto all'immediato rimborso

Ho ricevuto i vasi, purtroppo senza tappi, non ho idea se andavano ordinati a parte ma sembra estremamente non ligico comprare dei barattoli senza coperchio. Comunque, qualora andassero ordinati a parte vi prego di farmeli pervenire. grazie
