"Lifetime" Subscription to Vipre Internet Security is a Very Misleading Promotion.
First let's get the technical review out of the way. Regrettably, this security suite performs exceptionally well, and without slowing down your PC to anywhere near what products from competitors do (Norton, BitDefender, in my personal experience). Why regrettably? Well, unfortunately, I am one of those people that believe in integrity, honesty and forthrightness, with which the people at Threat Track seem to take issue. Ergo, their shameless promoting of a "lifetime" subscription, when it is NOT a lifetime subscription at all. Read the fine print, and understand that this "lifetime" refers only to the "lifetime" of the PC on which it was originally installed, so if you're planning on replacing your PC, or upgrading it yourself in the next few years, do not spend money on a product that will be useless on your next piece of hardware. This is not my "interpretation" of the pitch, it is DIRECTLY from the people at Threat Track themselves. Jerk-offs. So that's why I say regrettable, because I finally found a security suite that's acceptable, and the company turns out to be run by A-Holes. Just my luck. I suppose I could submit to becoming a zombified human like most of those belonging to the species have become, and give them the money even though they suck, but I just can not bring myself to do it. If you just either purchased or built a new PC with the latest, greatest hardware, the "lifetime" product is a good value at $79 (see below). If your PC is older, and nearing time for major upgrading or replacement - save your money.Oh - BTW...save yourself MUCH cash if you do decide to purchase any of their subscriptions by first checking out their website directly, which generally runs promotions, or other vendors, where the going price for the "lifetime" product is about $79, as of August, 2015.

bad mistake
Very bad program. Let in a very bad virus into my desktop that only scrubbing my hard drive could cure. Has NO tech support. There are better programs available, some are even free.
