This is working great as part of a costume piece. I am not sure if it actually Silk or fake silk. But the material is good and sewn well. It does seem to trap warmth so it may also work great if you are outside in the cold weather.Another plus is how easy it is to put on and take off and it does not leave marks on your face or the ridge of your nose like a regular stiff mask would.It comes with a black paper type material case (like the material hospitals use when giving you the disposable pants or shirt for an MRI or something.)The only downside is that as a costume when you wear it, with each breath the material moves in and out where your nostrils are because of the looseness of the material, so it is not stiff like a typical mask for dust or medical purposes. So for example if you are using it for a dance costume when you are performing, it will move in and out with your breathing.
