I have two large dogs and at the dog park a retired college professor treated my largest to a combing with his Furminator tool. Buddy had a huge amount of fur removed and was much cooler. But Buddy makes more fur, and I needed one. Thought I would give this unit a try. So far it seems to remove just as much of the shedding as the name brand unit. The one caveat to using the Petica as opposed to the furminator that I have found so far is that the fur must be removed manually from the Petica, the Furminator has a button that sweeps the fur off. Not a big issue to be sure, but some might disagree. I prefer to save the money and the fur comes out really easily anyway. Highly recommended for pet lovers/owners.

This is an off brand of the furminator. Works exceptionally well at getting out the shed hair in my husky. Whenever i use this on her, I get a large pile of hair off of her, even when the regular sleek brush was turning up almost empty. Just be prepared to have fur all over you when grooming if you have a dog with a light fluffy undercoat that easily floats and clings. My shorthaired dog also sees a shedding improvement with use of this brush, and the hair does not get all over when grooming her. Great for both hair types.

I just got this in the mail today and we love it already! And I mean my cat and I both love it! I have tried different types of brushes over the years and they can be hard to clean out and my cat hasn't loved any of them. I have literally been long rolling my cat when I needed to! Haha! He loves it. But, it only get so much out. The Petica gets so much hair out! It's amazing!!! And so easy to clean the hair out. I think this will help my allergies out and make cleaning easier with less of his hair all around. He loves it too! He just sprawled out and loved every minute of it. Now that I'm done he has been following me around like he wants it more! I'm a fan for sure.

Border Collie, nuf said. lol! Grantastic product! This tool is THE tool for helping shed that extra hair on the dog as the seasons warm up. Whether you use short strokes or long strokes, the tool works impressively. We have a wire brush that most everyone also owns, it works ok for removing hair, but better for just brushing and aligning the wavy hair of our dog. This tool will have you loads of time sweeping or vacuuming inside because most all that hair will be gently pulled with this. expect a basketball sized ball of hair each time.

I have a Basset Hound/ Beagle Mix with very thick, medium length hair and this brush works wonders on him. Brushing him just a couple of minutes per day has really helped keep my house looking clean longer, and I no longer have to vacuum my furniture everyday. He really seems to enjoy it as well and his coat has become so soft. It's also nice that the hair comes out of the comb very easily in one clump.

Larger than expected so did not find it easy or practical to groom my new kitten with but after she reached about -9- months old it worked perfectly & cat seems to if not enjoy it at least tolerate it and I have had no problems with her developing hairballs which for an Angora cat is a real concern.

I have four cat brushes and this one pulls the most fur off. For my long haired cat I have to clean it every time I run it through his fur because it gets so much off. Which is great because none of my cats really like being brushed so I have to make the most of the 30 seconds they give me before they run away.
