Are these made to be used outdoors?

The units are made of plastic but they are not suitable for outdoors. They are very light with openings in the top. They would not protect from wind, rain or animals.

Does the recycling logo come on the front of these or is that also a sticker. I wanted to use one for Trash and one for Recycling?

The Recycling mobius is printed on the bin. You can get a trash sticker from our web site to cover it. We generally look at grouped bins as a "recycling station" that often includes a trash unit.

I only need 2 bins: recycle & shred, but can't read labels even when "enlarged." is any label marked for "shredding" or similar? (not a deal-breaker!)

Dear NervieCat,Our system allows for customization/specialization of the labels. The units ship with 6 "standard" pre-printed labels. For what you are after, we offer a free download of a MS PowerPoint document from our web site. There are over 50 labels to choose from, but you can also modify the unlocked document to meet your specific needs. We are always available to help customize the PPT documents for you. Custom documents are then printed by you to fit into the clear plastic sleeve on the unit. We recommend printing on photo paper or presentation paper to get bright, crisp graphics & colors.
