The H3-ACDC-70-MK offers adjustable sensitivity and offset. For instance if your data logger / data acquisition hardware has an input of 0 to 5 Volts and you want to measure AC current, then you would offset the signal up to 2.5 Volts, and adjust your span so that the waveform peaks out at 5 Volts. If you want to measure both AC or DC current and your datalogger / data acquisition hardware has an input range of -10 to +10 Volts, then you would adjust the offset to zero and adjust your gain such that the max current puts out 8.5 Volts which will give you the highest resolution for your hardware. APPLICATIONS- Wind turbine power monitoring - Current activated switching when connected to a solid state relay. (This sensor can turn something on like a fan or light when current is detected). - Battery charging / battery discharging - Hydro output - AC Motor current consumption (Both single phase or 3 phase motors) - DC Motor current consumption (Regular DC Brushed motors, or brushless - AC current for Air conditioners AC - 3 Phase current to a large motor This sensor is easily used with the Arduino platform such as the Arduino UNO which only costs you $20 through (Sold separately). The Arduino UNO has 6 Analog channels to monitor a 0 to 5V range. The Arduino UNO can be setup as an AC or DC datalogger / O-Scope for monitoring both current and Voltage (Voltage monitoring requires the use of a Voltage divider to scale the Voltage down to the input range of data logger) . If you would like the free LabVIEW software to use the Arduino for a datalogger or data acquisition O-Scope let us know and we will give you a link to download it.
