We typically buy the Pur Water Filter and decided to try this one because it was affordable and we could get it fast. It installed just like our typical Pur Water Filter. I have absolutely no idea if it actually filtered our water but the water pressure with this filter is insanely good compared to what we typically get with the Pur Water Filter, so I am going to venture to guess it wasn't filtering as good or at all.Our water filter system also has an indicator on it when the filter needs to be replaced. We can usually tell because the water pressure gets really bad, but nonetheless an indicator. We usually can go close to three months without having to replace the filter per the indicator. It's been about a month and it's telling us it needs to be replaced.If I have to replace it more often then a Pur, it's not worth it. If it's not doing anything then I might as well just drink the water straight from the faucet.Bottom line, it's not worth it. Buy the Pur. You won't regret it, but you'll regret purchasing this off-brand. :/

I have traditionally utilized OEM Pur water filters. However, I decided to step out on a limb and purchase the Totie brand to save a little money. I am glad I did! Water tastes no different than Pur brand. Have not had long enough to determine reliability. However, if it holds up and last as long as the Pur brand, then I will use this brand moving forward. Highly recommended!***Update***Now that I have lived with the filter for a couple of weeks, I can safely say that the filter is slightly below the Pur in taste. The filter is much lower performing than the LG filter on my refrigerator. However, the flow of the filter is outstanding. I have adjusted my rating to four stars.The seller offered a $5 Amazon E-Gift card upon reviewing the filter. This electronic card would be provided within 24hrs. after sending link to review. I NEVER RECEIVED THE $5 (NO RESPONSE FROM SELLER AFTER EMAILING THEM FOR UPDATE).

The information on this product is very misleading as most of the reviews and Q&A are about a different product.This filter is not as good as the authentic PUR filter. The PUR filter made a big (noticeable) difference in the water taste, but this filter doesn't. The water runs very fast as if there is no obstacle (I mean, filter). "Compatible" only means mechanically compatible and it does not mean the same filtering performance. Stay away if you care the quality of your drinking water. You get what you pay for.

This filter was recommended when my usual choice, the PUR, was not available. It worked just fine, but the fact that the water came out so fast made me suspicious, because it seemed like the water was not spending enough time going through the filter to be properly processed. I would purchase it again if, in the future, my usual choice is not available because it was a good deal, but it would definitely not be my first choice.

I’m not convinced this filter does anything. I tested it in my pur then tried it out of my pur. The water pressure did not change. Typically with the name brand filters it take a minute for the filter to fill up and pressurize. BUY THE NAME BRAND

Water runs fast through filter - too fast. Our water has a "bleach" taste - same taste as unfiltered. Will not buy again. Had to order Pur filters to replace - an added expense I did not need.

WAAAYYYYYY better than the name brand one. Super water pressure too!

I’d give it no stars if I could. It’s a filter that doesn’t filter. Thing is garbage. My water tastes like I’m sucking on a bag of nickels. It’s junk. Don’t waste your money on this scam
