Not only did I get to read this, but also got to “live it”. Chris taught a pistol course which laid a solid foundation for safe, accurate gun-work.Ended the day on the range…live fire with 300 rounds.This book enables you to get what he is trying to teach in an easy, straight forward, step-by-step manner:Highly recommend!

I have to say that the book was disappointing on a number of different levels. All the author did was repackage already known techniques and made claims that are by far nonsense. "These are secrets" (There are no secrets in this book) "that go beyond what’s taught in weekend firearms courses", (A lot of weekend courses are very basic for new shooters why would you teach a guy to run before he can crawl) aren’t taught in self-defense courses, and are beyond the time and budget limitations of most police departments. (Complete Bull Crap ! as he is not teaching anything new or groundbreaking and dry fire practice costs nothing, ZERO ) Dry fire practice is simply practicing and developing your firearms skills without live ammunition. Anyone can train for every part of your chosen firearm manipulations except for the bang and bullet strike on the target. I like to use a laser device in my barrel and BOB target in my routine. Dry practice is very beneficial anyone willing to put in the time, and stick to the basics will become a very competent shooter. The secret is their is no secret, know your gun, take the time to practice with it on and off the range and you will do well. There are tons of free dry fire drills on the internet.

It's a good book on the most useful pistols drills to get you up to peed in no time. It's worth a look. I would recommend it for dry practice before going to the range.

It makes valid recommendations, however, it requires long time range time. Not most people have the time and/or the funds needed to follow their advice for gun handling. I found it to academic.
