Keeps my wife away!
I am a closet chef and take my tools very seriously. I invested in a very nice -- and expensive -- Japanese chef's knife. We have other chef's knives, but my wife liked my Japanese knife and used it often. One day, I pulled it out and found a nick in the heel of the blade. ARGH!!! I had to send it away for professional repair. I have no idea how she damaged it, but when the knife returned from the shop, I had to take action.I bought this knife case, set a combo my wife couldn't figure out and I keep my knife locked away from her grubby mitts. better for thinner knives
i fell like you could cut the stap with a pair of scissor easy enough but the case holds the knife tightlyenought that a small child would not be able to pull it out wether it was locked or not

Made my kitchen kid safe
I never held my german knife in the kitchen drawer out of fear my kids playing with it, now with this wonderful knifelock idea i keep my knife conveniently in the drawer with peace of mind.p.s. i would definitely buy the leather looking knifelock since it looks nicer and more stylish , but still i'm ultimately satisfied with this great and not expensive product.

It is a beautiful case
I really love the color and treatment of the leather. It is the perfect fit for a busy chef in the kitchen! Plus it looks great ...bonus.

Great Product!
The case overall is amazing! Lock works perfectly and fits my knife well. The plastic sheath inside that comes with it was a little too tight but I replaced that with one of my own.
