Dannmar 6000xl = Bendpak MD-6XP
Unlike what is said in the description, this is the 6000xl model, so it goes higher than the stated 36in. (More like 48-52 inches). If you look at the manual for the Bendpak MD-6XP, both manuals are EXACTLY the same, just different names. As said in the other review, almost all the scissor lifts out there are the same and come from china, but there are a couple key differences between the bendpak and dannmar vs. all others. One is the lock release; all the others use bicycle brake levers to release the lock. These operate hands free by raising the lift a bit to release the lock. Second, the lift arms are longer. I was looking at the Greg Smith version which is much cheaper, but read around that the arms were not long enough for some cars (especially Hondas) and their manual does not list arm lengths. There are downsides to these lifts, which one is they are difficult to move; portable is a real stretch with this. The manuals say don't use on asphault, which I didn't, but had to drag it across asphault to get into my garage, which was nearly impossible. On a nice flat surface without texture, pulling it is ok, but pushing is another story. I have concrete and flat paver stones now, so it is a lot easier to maneuver, but had to make some modifications to make it easier to push. Drilled a couple holes to add casters when moving, which did make it less labor intensive, but still have to pick it up to make turns. Need to find bearings that can aid in helping turn this much weight easier.Wheels for cart and lift are solid steel, which if you care about not marring your floor (in my case, rolling across decorative pavers to get to my concrete pad) you will change. Added some high capacity rubber wheels to cart and purchased, but have not installed, some super high capacity, non marring wheels for lift itself when lifting on my concrete pad, as it will eventually start to ruin the concrete. In my opinion, as far as "portable" scissor lifts go, this and the bendpak are the best out there and those two are the exact same thing, so you may as well save some money with the dannmar.

HEAVY! Instructions! Teflon Tape!
05.07.2019: Lift installation completed and all hookups done. Lift unit is now fully operational and doing an excellent job! Three issues = 1) HEAVY (insure you have 2~3 extra sets of hands to help) 2) Instructions require clarification 3) Use a heavy-duty Teflon tape where indicated; the 'light' stuff with blow out!04.24.2019: Lift unit was delivered. Be advised this arrived packaged in a very large thin wooden crate. The accessories are boxed separately and stacked on this box (held there by packing bands). My wife and I used crowbars to remove the top and sides of the crate - so there's a messy disposal issue to think about. Using the Power Unit to lift one end of the Lift itself, we placed two carts (with rubber-coated wheels) under it and with extreme difficulty were able to move it into my garage area. I have no desire to ever do that again!TWO key instructions are written and illustrated completely BACKWARDS! I mean 180° the wrong way. I contacted the vendor and he explained the placement of the hoses was optional - left or right - I informed him there was no explanation for that in the instructions.#1) The instructions state to connect the power unit's hydraulic hose to the "LEFT" side of the Lift - the illustration also shows this. WRONG. The left side is plugged and the RIGHT side connector is uncovered and ready for connection.#2) The instructions and illustration for connecting the hydraulic hose to the Power Unit are again 180° out of whack. As shown, there is NO "PLUG" to remove on the side that is illustrated... it's on the opposite side.#3 The instructions and illustrations demonstrate that each of the ARMS is to have TWO very large heavy washers. Four arms = 8 washers. There were only FOUR provided! I'm advised by the Vendor (whom I called) that the 2nd washer is not necessary (they need to update the instructions to note this).#4 The instructions advise that once completed, the unit is tested by raising to its full extension and holding it there for three seconds. Didn't make it that far. Teflon tape is to be used on the threaded extension for the hydraulic hose which I applied. There are NO torque specifications included for any connector, so I tightened the extension nut snuggly + a little extra. The Teflon tape gave way and dumped about 1/2 gallon of hydraulic fluid before I was able to turn everything off (due to remaining line pressure). What an incredible mess! Trip to Lowes for heavy-duty pipe tape solved this problem so be warned.#4 There is a plate welded on both sides of the unit where the two hydraulic cylinders are mounted. This plate is slightly in the way of attaching the hydraulic hose. The hose therefore is pressed quite tightly against the edge of this plate and I have a concern that in time it may wear through. ALSO: be aware this unit is delivered in a HUGE wooden box! The delivery man used a pallet jack to roll and position the package just in front of my garage. A tab system is used to secure the top of the box to the sides and bottom; easily bent for removable. Keep in mind the need to break up this very large wooden box for disposal. After we got the top off, I used two furniture-type carts with 5" rubber wheels to move it by first positioning one at the end opposite the power unit that doubles as a dolly. Once in place, it became much easier to move far enough forward to slip the other one under - at that point, the 800lb Gorilla was 'pushable' by me alone. I have a pretty robust tool set, but did NOT have a socket large enough for the NUT that secures the four yellow ARMS to the unit. It's a "30MM" size piece!! Probably never needing something that size for anything else in my lifetime, I bought one from Harbor Freight. I'll close for now and will add more once I've got it powered up and tested for leaks in the hydraulics.
