This classic album has been hidden away in the A&M vaults for many years having been deleted in 1980 and as such has never been available on CD. This fantastic album has been digitally remastered and contains 10 electrifying tracks of soul and rock n' roll all delivered perfectly by the godfather of Britpop! Lemond Records. 2005.

Great Record
This is Steve just after the break up of HumblePie.....old Pie demos and some new 'AmericanStyle' tracks (hence the American side), and, a very nice re-recording of WhamBamThankYouMa'am that Steve did while still with SmallFaces. This is a great record and well worth the price, a must for any SteveMarriott fan!

Awesome English blues
Too bad Marriott killed himself. This guy was a player. "East Side Struttin'" was, and remains one of my all time favourite songs. The British side (back when there were LPs) is far stronger than the US side--rawer, edgier. This album is worth every penny.

Strong solo album from the small guy.
Steve Marriott's career had hit a wall with Humble Pie; the band weren't selling like they were before and fatigue had begun to creep in. With Marriott the main focus (after the departure of Peter Frampton) we saw, at least initially, some strong albums from him but the constant touring/recording cycle took its toll on Marriott. If you add in that he also felt some what walled in by the style of Humble Pie which didn't allow him as much of the R&B he loved so much to be investigated, all of this led to the disintegration of the band.Marriott's solo album allowed him to examine, explore the music outside of the confines of Humble Pie. This is a strong solo album from Marriott. The reissue will be essential for Marriott/Small Faces/Humble Pie fans. It's a pity that, after this, Marriott wasn't able to recapture the glory days of Small Faces or Humble Pie with the later Humble Pie releases.

Marriott rocks on both sides of the water. Side ...
Marriott rocks on both sides of the water. Side A, a smokin' hot set of Brit rock, and Side B, goes funky with the U.S. set.

Steve Marriot Marriot
I have always been a big Steve Marriot fan. I had this one (or heard it before; I can't remember) a long time ago. It has been some time since this was reissued. I bought it thinking that maybe I could hear some good old post Humble Pie licks. If you like Steve and the work he compiled over the years, you won't be disapointed. Steve actually plays lead on this ablum. The guitar work is a little over bearing at points cause of the way it was recorded, not any deficit on Marriots part. The Blackberrys return for some cuts, and the bands Steve assembled are top notch. The horn work on the American side adds a dimension that I have not heard before. There does seem to be a little stress in Steves' voice at times because of the crap he was going through. I saw him in 1980 in a very small dance hall on 1st Avenue in Seattle. I liked him then and if you feel like I do about this guy then buy it.
