Silent Hill: Downpour - Anne's Story #1 Kindle & comiXology

Most licensed products aren't that great. Everyone knows the trope "dont buy a video game based on a movie", because they are bad. Conversely, books based on video games are notorious as well. Comics less so, but still. I was in the mood for a horror comic, and it had good reviews so why not. I was pleasantly surprised. The art is great and pulls no punches when it comes to the creepy sexuality, gore, gross melty monsters and horror factor. Its as a silent hill comic should bem And the story follows a different perspective of one of the actual silent hill games. Fans of Downpour will like it. Uts still accessible for non fans, but knowing a bit about the game will add quite a bit more to the story, as the background isnt explained in depth. My one complaint. Its short. Like a 15 min read each short. and each ends on a cliffhanger so youre going to have to buy all 4, but there is no bundled set. Expect youre going to be paying $10 for maybe an hour total of reading. But its worth it. Best Silent Hill non-game stuff Ive come across.
