Didn't receive what was listed. Received a different brand camera Here is a follow up review: Even though I received a different camera. I have now used it and the picture and sound is great..I would adjust my star rating to a 3. It took a little to get t setup right. It came in Chinese wording and took me awhile to correct that. I think when I did the recommended software update it reverted to Chinese. Other then that it has worked great.

Great product, but it wa sold with a life time warranty.... Good luck with thatmy Amazon buy is long gone... and after a good several yrs of service it's deadand I was sold a life time warranty for nothing....

So far so good. Good quality and nice videos. Also easy to use. Directions are great. Would recommend to anyone. Only issue was not with the dash cam but with the micro cd. 16 gigabytes is suppose to give about 10 hours of video. On hd setting I only got about 2.5 hours. Other than that it was a good buy!Tom D.

So far so good. Works well. Nice wide angle filming. I'm thinking of putting one in the back window of my pickup.

I've had this cam more than a month now. As with anything, I was skeptical as I had purchased another cheaper brand and after about two months, it stopped working. I've had many close calls and I wanted to do research into purchasing another cam for my truck. I am a professional driver and have been driving long haul for over 23 years.This little cam has saved me money. Example: the electronic device in my truck tracks location, speed, RPM's, hard braking, idle time, etc. I receive a $.03 a mile bonus if I keep within the company parameters. In the past two weeks, I had two hard braking incidents. Both involved motorist's, not looking and merging right in front of me. The video clearly shows their actions (one woman was talking on her cellphone and the second, was eating a hamburger) and my swift reaction to avoid collision, without the video, I would not have been able to show or justify the reason for these, thus losing my bonus.The cam arrived with everything I needed to use it almost immediately. The seller included detailed instructions on individual settings and within 10 minutes I was ready to install it in my vehicle. I purchased a 32GB memory card so I would have ample recording time.The video is crystal clear, and even on rough roads the images are stable. I like driving at night and even with limited lighting, this little cam outperforms the cheaper knockoffs. The images are still very clear. The wide angle lens is excellent. It clearly shows down over my hood, both hood mirrors and you can see approaching vehicles through them clearly in the video.The suction cup windshield mount is strong and has withstood the constant vibration that is common in semi trucks.The process to save events can be set to automatic or manual. Because of the differing road hazards I constantly drive on, mine is set to manual. It is very simple. When something happens you would like to save, you simply reach up and push the far left button. A tone will sound to let you know it is saving the event. In an emergency situation, you would push the playback button, scroll to find the locked file and it can be viewed on screen OR the memory card can be removed put in a cell phone, laptop, or tablet with a bigger screen and the file viewed this way. You are able to rewind, pause, or fast forward with the buttons on the front of the unit. The instructions clearly tell you what buttons to use. The markings on the actual unit are small and not clearly visible but this is not a detriment.There are two settings on saving for file size. I used the bigger one (400mb) at first but when you are looking for something specific, seven minutes is a long time. I've changed it to record in 200mb segments and the process is quicker.The speaker output is clear and not garbled. I have the microphone turned on. It works very well! The radio, singing to a song, phone conversations, as well as any expletives uttered in a close call, will be CLEARLY understood upon playback.There are three red lights that light up on the unit, as the screen will go dark after a minute or so. The first lets you know it is recording, the second light tells you it is plugged into a power source. The second light will turn green when it is unplugged and running on it's internal battery. The third light is for a malfunction and I have yet to see this light illuminate and stay on.Overall, I am very pleased with this cam and its performance. The lifetime warranty was a big plus. It is a chunk of change to put out but in the big scheme of things, I want to protect my career and income should the need arise. I will be purchasing a second for my private vehicle, that is how pleased I am with my purchase.Update: June 28. 2014.I have been happily using this cam. It has paid for itself in the last two weeks. First incident involved another (semi) truck driver. I was pulling out of a parking spot and went to go around the other truck after he had stopped. Before I could react he started backing up and put his trailer right into the grill of mine. Second incident involved at car running a stop sign and I almost t-boned him. Final incident involved an aggressive pickup truck that sped up, cut in front of me and slammed on his brakes. I have the footage to prove I did nothing wrong, identify his vehicle to police, and hopefully the incident will be resolved with the revealing footage.So I've had this cam for abit now, I will say I am pleased with how it has performed. I would suggest getting a spare memory card just in case you need to save some footage without worrying about the information being overwritten. While this isn't going to happen immediately, I don't like to chance it. I have had all sorts of incidents which have been caught on cam. I am so used to having it in my truck, I won't leave home without it. It has become like my seat belt, you put it on and forget about it. However, it is there when and if you need it.Someone mentioned it was more expensive to purchase from this retailer, while that may be a true statement, buying from DSS your cam comes UPDATED, SETUP, and with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. I had rapid response time to my emails and answers to my questions. I have come to depend on my cam. It was a wise investment.
