for iPad Air - Black

I got to admit, I was expecting not to like this case, and was a little worried because I like to hold case in my lap or in book fashion and only review (on the less expensive no 4g version) didn't address this nor do any of the photos or YouTube videos. Well it works fine in book fashion, and the folding front cover is very good in landscape or vertical even on my lap (that surprised me). If you turn your iPad upside down (for what reason I have no idea) the case cover will flop loose. But in normal position it holds secure and activates on/off feature flawlessly. This case is very light weight around 10oz and very slim profile appx 9/16" thick with iPad installed. The New iPad slides into the back like it was born there, with all the correct holes/cutouts lining up just dandy. The cover is more leather like than 90% of the so called leather cases advertised and the back has a nice feel to it as well. I didn't notice any offensive smells like you get from pu leather and other faux leathers I've come across. Inside is a soft felt like lining that looks, feels, appears quality. I haven't tried the 4g or 3g on it yet, but I do notice it is faster than before while down loading using WI-FI. I'll post an update later when I give the cellular a try. So far it's recommended 5 stars from me. This case is very well built using nice quality materials.Update: There is a very noticeable difference in download speed with this case in a hotel using their wi-fi connection we're staying in compared to my other leather case. I'm sold.

Expensive and claims that it will increase reception. I did not notice any increase in reception. I also purchased the Pong iPhone cases and had similar disappointing results. I have gone back to my previous cases.

durable, stain resistant, protects my iPadthe folding top/stand takes a bit of learning to use properlywhen you try to stand the closed iPad on its edge, it will find a way to fall overI believe that the claim of improved reception is true, but only when the cover is completely folded over. I have noticed a difference in reception and download speeds in borderline reception zones.

This is a nice case...if it cost $50. The front functions as a smart cover and there is a protective covering for the back of the iPad. My wireless router is located on one end of my house. Consequently, when I'm on the other end of the house I have signal strength/range issues. When I read about this case I thought it the perfect solution to my problem. Unfortunately, the "internal antennas that improve signal+range" don't do that. At all. Not even a half bar more. I'm guessing that somewhere, somehow, in some lab under perfectly controlled conditions, the case boosted signal strength to some degree. In the real world? NO.

It seems to work ok. It hasn't dramatically changed my ability to reach the router or much faster. It is pretty thin.

I tried an Apple case and thought it was nothing special. The Pong case is well constructed and provides good protection for the iPad. It fits well and is comfortable to hold and seems very well made. I have noticed slightly improved wifi reception too. I really like the radiation protection it provides...I have three young kids who use the iPad in their lap and it is comforting knowing they are being protected. This piece of mind is worth the extra cost for me & is the main reason I purchased this particular case. The fact that it is a good functioning case in many other ways makes me even happier with my decision....5 stars!

I have to admit that I had some reservations about spending $100 on a case for my iPad. While researching cases I stumbled across an article in WIRED online. In the article they did some pretty in depth testing that showed the benefits of reduced radiation and preservation of the out going 3G signal while using this case. I can't say that I noticed the reduced radiation but I do know that while using Skype my transmitted video appears better using this case than with the other I had. The material used, fit, and finish are top notch. The case does ad a little weight and thickness, but looks really good and seems to be protective (though I have not dropped it). Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and plan on keeping this case.
