Toxic black plastic
The black plastic part is stinky and smells like e-waste from old electrical cords, etc. I sure wish my return window had not already closed. This is probably not the sort of thing anyone should have in their kitchen, let alone their home.

Broke back thermometer
The back slide broke albeit you make attach it back, but in the end, it will NOT adhere to the saucepan!

Cheap metal construction
Great reviews for Thermopro mixed in by mistake. Lion Palace thermometer I got was thin metal sharp edges. Returning and would not recommend.
