All those disinfectants that claim X% of disinfecting ability; when tested against Nolvasan, most are left in the dust. This is Chlorhexadine diacetate and this chemical is used in hospitals and veterinary clinics to clean and disinfect instruments and hard surfaces. The reason this product has favor in these environments is that it has a good kill spectrum, and where many disinfectants become less effective when the liquid comes in contact with organic material such as blood and pus, Nolvasan keeps working.My experience with the product comes from observing use in veterinary clinics. I use it freely around the house when I want an effective germ kill. Because of non-stop fear advertising, consumers use disinfectants far too frequently, and it is my opinion that if you use an ineffective product, there is the possibility of growing a resistant strain. Use Nolvasan in those areas where you suspect nasty germs and use water and detergent everywhere else.Be aware, though, that there is a small percentage of people who are allergic to this product.

My horse got a nasty cut on his leg about 1 month ago. I used Nolvasan to clean the wound and used the Nolvasan cream after. It worked like a dream on my horse. I will keep one handy in my medicine cabinet

my puppy got parvo so heard about this product from my dog groomer works good and smells decent better than bleach by far

I use dilute Nolvasan every day for many things: I use it for any skin conditions or injuries on my cats, dogs, and horses. I use it in dilute solution to clean ears. I wash my own hands with it after I do some particularly difficult thing with an injured animal. This is the best product next to bleach for keeping your animals, home, and body clean if you have a lot of pets or critters.Remember, this particular product needs to be diluted. A quart can last several years for ordinary things.

I bought this after a buddy loaned me some when I needed to clean out a dog crate after an "accident". I thought - "Wow", that smells fantastic - so much better than the diluted bleach solution I've used for years.Then I checked out the sanitation aspect and also talked to my Vet. It's a must have now for me. I'll never do a bleach rinse again.

Fantastic product.... it work good.I used it on my turtles for shell rotting.And on my dogs foot to clean the open cut. And I see a very big results.It the best!!
