Tranmix Solar Fountain with Battery Backup, 2.5W Bird Bath Fountain Free Standing Solar Powered Fountain for Birdbath,Pond, Pool, Garden, Fish Tank

This fountain spray to about 18”. It does, however, work best with some depth beneath it. It didn’t work so well in my shallow birdbath, but works well in a smallish but deep plant pot. When the weather is overcast, or if shade is cast over the fountain for an extended period, it does not spray.

It worked fine right out of the box. The spray alternated between a burble and fountain, which was fine. It did empty a standard birdbath in a few hours due to splashing. I planned to move it to another water feature but when I went out this morning it was DOA. It did run for a while after it was in shadow so the battery was working yesterday evening. Today in full sun and a full birdbath-nothing. Returning it.

The media could not be loaded.  Well, at first glance and usage of this fountain, can't believe my eyes. The fountain is actually working quite nicely with no sun today and just two hours of capturing sun yesterday. We only rec'd it yesterday so it had minimal time exposed to direct sunlight and we get our mail late afternoon. We have the bird bath situated in a spot that really doesn't get a full day of sun, just maybe up til 3 or 4 pm. then the house gives off shadows in that area. Well this unit spouted until late evening yesterday and most of the day today during a storm coming in from the West. This is on May 23, '19 if you want to believe me and double check the weather for that day in Jersey. Simple to set up, just pull it from the box and set it in the sun. Shoots water reasonably high. Was a bit windy yesterday and the wind kind of blew the spouting water out of the bird bath, which in turn lowered the water level in the bath. So we had to refill it, guess you would have to keep an eye on that. This replaces a fountain that came with the bird bath that didn't work very well and we tossed it. If this keeps working as well as it has, i'll come back and update this review and give it 5 stars.

Lasted almost 2 months. Had in my aater trough to keep water circulating. Came out 2 days ago and little motor/pump not running. Conductes reset, but still no luck. Its in the sun all parts of the day. Worked fine up until it didnt.

The instructions for using the spray nozzles in not clear. I am pretty much winging it. However the tip of the base on which the nozzle fits is too big and appears misshapen. The company does not have a phone number to call to get a replacement, just an email and they will get back to me in 24 hours. I attempted to go to the web site indicated on the enclosed written materials and it only takes me to Amazon. This is flaky. And annoying. In the meantime my fountain is working like a drinking fountain-water coming out a large opening. I will email them and see how quickly they respond. Also, the suction is not holding. I may need to attach it before putting the water in. the bird bath. In the meantime a floating fountain may not be attractive to the finches.

Fun fountain! Bought 2 one floats in a large plastic whiskey barrel with lily pads and flowers, the other floats in the pool. Work great in sun and doesn't stop when clouds go by! Stores energy well!

After 6 weeks it stopped working completely. I was maintaining it, cleaning the filter when needed, keeping the water level up. Also, the three small suction cups on bottom to secure it worked for about a week and then did not work even though I cleaned everything. Also, the battery and pump under the base were of different heights, caused the pump to become lopsided when the suction cups stopped being effective, and the pump floated to side of birdbath and water went out of birdbath from the fountain. I tried to fix the problems and kept the water level up so it would not run without water in the birdbath and possibly damage the pump, but, alas, then it just stopped working. Disappointing!

Working great all summer in the bird bath. Almost to powerful. Had to modify the sprinkler tips by making y holes larger and not spray so high causing the fountain to empty.
