I recently bought a new 16" MacBook Pro. I still can't quite understand why they did away with the Magsafe connectors; I hear it's because they think USB C detaches more easily, but I really don't think that's true! And speaking as someone who did completely destroy a pre-magsafe MacBook Pro by catching my foot in the cable, I know how will Magsafe works.I found this and thought it would be a good replacement - and it is really pretty good. It's surprisingly discreet when sticking out of the MacBook; I leave one part of it in all the time and it's not a problem. Both pieces are solid and well made, and it does the job really well. No, the LED isn't a status light in the same way as proper Magsafe connectors; it's basically just on, and green, all the time, whenever there is power. And it's probably not quite as good as the original Magsafe at the strength of the magnetic connection, which has to be just the right balance between holding secure and not being annoying to detach; but it's pretty good.I should say, after a couple of months of use, one of the two pieces came apart. But I messaged the seller on Amazon and they immediately agreed to ship me another, no problem - good service. Recommended.

This is my second time buying this product. I first ordered 6 months ago, and was super happy. I wanted to protect my laptop USB port from wear and dust, and this seems to have done the job. I ordered a second one for convenience - the first is still working well.The magnets are fairly strong but still seem weak enough to disconnect when a laptop falls off a desk/the cable gets pulled.This mostly works perfectly - occasionally I need to disconnect and reconnect, but that’s very rare and I connect/disconnect this every day at the moment.Really happy with the product. I’ve only tested up to 65W charging but I don’t have any reason to believe it wouldn’t support 100W.

First and foremost, this enables you to have the MagSafe feature of past MacBooks on the newer models. The product seems well built and has a strong magnetic connection without feeling too secure that it wouldn't disconnect if someone accidentally pulled the power cord.The reason for the 4 stars, is although it's suitable for any USB-C device, it feels a little too big compared to my 2017 MacBook (The colour of this by the way is a close match to the space-grey of the Macs, but not identical).The other reason for the 4 star rating is due to when I started using this the power connection would drop ever so often and not charge my MacBook. However, after speaking with the seller, they sent out a replacement straight away and this has worked perfectly.Overall, slightly big for the MacBook (may look fine on the pro models) and my initial item had a slight glitch, but the customer service more that made up for the initial feeling of the product. I would still recommend this if you wanted the MagSafe feature back on you new Mac.

This was recommended for my new OCULUS QUEST and despite some negative comments, I can assure you that this does attach and works well. I read some reviews that said the device detaches and does not charge. I can only assume that these individuals were trying to play whilst the device was connected.?!!!We use the MagSafe device to protect the charging cable from wear and tear. The Oculus Quest charges really quickly in any event, so there have been no problems with the device either charging the headset or, with accidentally disconnecting from charging whilst using this magnetic connector. I keep the headset away from foot traffic in any event, as wouldn't you look after this expensive piece of kit?The device was expensive for such a tiny unit, but when compared to a new charging cable, I am sure the cost is worth it!CONCLUSION----------------I have no hesitation in recommending this device. It does work perfectly with the Oculus Quest headset, providing a quick and safe addition to your unit to keep your cable safe.

I'm not a fan of this product. Since it was so expensive I assumed it included a cable but it didn't, it's just an adapter for an existing cable - my fault for not reading I guess. But then it comes to the actual product. Sometimes the green LED to show charging doesn't turn on, the dongle that goes in to your device comes out way too easily when pulling the cable out making this product basically useless. The final blow in the coffin is the fact that it costs over £20 when there are much cheaper ones on Amazon with better reviews. I assumed since it was more expensive it would be higher quality but clearly not. Will be returning.

This amazing accessory enables you to leave the laptop on charge without worrying about someone knocking it off when tripping on the cable. So important when you share a house with an active pet and a clumsy partner! :D The product worked for many months flawlessly but unfortunately, it recently developed a fault. I was bummed out as Amazon seemed not to provide any customer service for it. However, I was able to contact the Sicotool customer service and they have been amazing! They now promised to send me a brand new one at no extra cost! Indeed it is unfortunate that the product became faulty but their customer service really made the difference. Highly recommended! Now I look forward to receiving the new item and go back to stress-free charging.

The magnet is strong enough even if I would like it to be a little bit stronger.Unfortunately, there is some flawless in the conception. The body is weak and can fall apart after a few months.

This isn't suitable for any Apple laptop with 2 USB C ports on the same side. It blocks the other port from being used by all but the thinnest of USB C cables. The usb connection also doesn't quite fit in all the way into the port. This doesn't stop it from working but it looks a bit messy.The function of the product itself is fine. It is well made and does what it needs to do perfectly well, so if your laptop only has a single USB C port or the ports are far enough apart then it's worth having.

Lo utilizzo con un Hub usb 3.0 e ne ho apprezzato fin da subito la velocità di trasferimento dati (per ora l"unico limite di trasferimento è causato dalle periferiche che dispongo in casa , dato che la trasmissione è incommisurabilmente più rapida)Non potrei davvero più tornare indietro, penso che provvederò ad acquistarne un altro nonostante il prezzo piuttosto proibitivo per un adattarore. (che comunque è giustificato nel momento in cui vi adopererete ad utilizzarlo.) Se siete indecisi sull acquisto vi consiglio vivamente di provarlo, ma credetemi che diventerà essenziale fin dal primo utilizzo, soprattutto se come me lavorate con il pc al buio e non volete perdere tempo a fare tentativi nel cercare le porta di ricarica. Il s'agit du seul adaptateur usb type-c vers port magnétique que j'ai trouvé qui permet de conserver le passage des données en plus du courant de charge : un must-have lorsqu'il est associé à un hub usb-c.La portée de l'aimant est optimale, et l'attraction magnétique le met toujours en bonne position, pas de besoin de le repositionner. De plus, une fois en place, il tient bien, ne se déconnecte pas seul, pas involontairement. Lorsque l'on souhaite le déconnecter, cela se fait sans difficulté et l'adaptateur usb-c reste bien en place.La partie qui reste dans le PC est légèrement plus épaisse que les autres adaptateurs magnétiques mais sans être gênante.Les données passent bien en plus du courant : mon adaptateur est associé à un hub avec RJ45 1Gbit/s, un écran 1440p 60Hz, des ports USB type A, et un chargeur de 80W, le tout sans problème.Je craignait un peu ce type de produit au vu des problèmes qu'il semble y avoir eu avec d'autres produits similaires auparavant, qui pouvait griller des appareils du fait de connections/déconnections trop rapide. Cela ne semble pas être le cas sur ce modèle pour le moment : je l'ai depuis 2 mois, je mettrai mon commentaire à jour en cas de problème.A noter qu'il y a une LED verte qui s'allume sur la plus grosse parti de l'adaptateur lorsqu'il est bien connecté, permettant de voir d'un coup d'oeil que le branchement s'est bien fait (mais cette LED est peu être un peu trop lumineuse à mon gout)

So weit ich es beurteilen kann, ist der Adapter super. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Die Oberflächen bestehen fast ausschließlich aus Metall. Somit wirkt der Adapter sehr wertig. Der Magnet ist stark genug, um das Kabel bei Bewegung an Ort und Stelle zu halten, aber schwach genug, um sich bei einem Zug am Kabel zu lösen. Es reicht die zwei Hälften nahe zusammen zu bringen, und sie rasten korrekt ein. Obendrein hat der Adapter noch eine LED, die beim Laden grün leuchtet. Es fühlt sich an, wie beim original Apple MagSafe.Der im MacBook steckende Teil wirkt zwar erst mal recht groß, der daneben liegende USB-C Port kann aber weiterhin genutzt werden. Ein USB-C Kabel passt. USB-Sticks und anderes "größeres" Zubehör wird aber wohl nicht passen.Zur Funktion kann ich nur sagen, dass schnelles Laden funktioniert. Den vollständigen USB-C Funktionsumfang kann ich leider nicht testen.Wenn es aber lediglich darum geht, sein MacBook vor unfreiwilligen Flugeinlagen zu schützen, ist dieser Adapter die Lösung. :)

Ottimo prodotto. Viene utilizzato con successo per collegare un Motorola Moto One ad Android Auto ed un Dell Inspiron 7506 (USB-C Tunderbolt 4) alla dock universale D6000. Il Motorola viene riconosciuto tranquillamente. Funziona tutto, Navigatore, Notifiche, ecc. Per quanto riguarda il Dell la dock collegata tramite l'adattatore funziona egregiamente, dispositivi connessi alla dock inclusi.Great product. It's successfully used to connect a Motorola Moto One to Android Auto and a Dell Inspiron 7506 (USB-C Tunderbolt 4) to the D6000 universal dock. The Motorola is recognized out-of-the-box. Everything works, Navigator, Notifications, etc. As for the Dell, the dock connected via the adapter works fine, devices connected to the dock too.

Je cherchais un équivalent magsafe. Très satisfait après 1 an d’utilisation. Design agréable et produit qualitatif, led quand le MacBook est en charge. Aucun problème de fonctionnement. Seul reproche, l’embout se branchant sur le port USB-C étant un peu large, il peut gêner la prise USB-C à côté mais dans la plupart des cas ce n’est pas dérangeant.
