WindPaddle Large Sun Shade

I had high hopes for this product as I love to get out on the water, but hate to roast my skin in the sun. However, after following the included instructions and adding some pad eyes behind and outboard of my seat and another pair of pad eyes for forward mounting positions for the side-struts, the unit is still not at all stable. Let me phrase that in another way: the sun shade loves to flop over on its side if you so much as look at it wrong. I believe it could work with the included strap if you are using it with a sit-in ocean kayak, but for a sit-on-top, it seems to be a waste of time, effort, and money. I so badly wanted to love this product and have tried to make it work repeatedly with no luck.On an unrelated note, the collapsible cross-brace is easy to forget when installed and I broke the coupler when trying to fold the unit. That is not WindPaddle's fault. I only mention it as a cautionary tale so that you won't have to duct-tape the coupler back into one piece as I have.

Terrible product. I am no stranger to boating & Bimini tops, I lived on a sailboat for 2 years. Getting it attached is miserable and if you are lucky enough not to get the lines all tangled up, good luck securing it on your Kayak. When you're underway, expect it to flop all over. Then try to get it into the 3 fold stow configuration.......awful. One of the worst products I have bought it a long time. One of the stays also come thru the end and I had to throw it away.
