Darco Web Ankle Support w/Bungee Closure, Medium W 10 - 11 M 8 - 10

This is a very supportive splint. I fractured my ankle several years ago. I still have flare ups when I over do it. I have used this same splint for several years and wore it out. So I purchased another. I like that I can still wear my athletic shoes while using this splint.

I am treating a painful condition as directed by physician, this is one part of treatment. I was fitted in office but not told the shoe size of ankle support. Medium was comfortable and small was tight on leg. I purchased this and a small size. I wear size 7 womens shoe, always. I am just at the beginning of average bone size and have swelling in ankle and shin due to posterior tibial tendon dysfunction and fallen arch. The small even though for size 7 was too tight around leg just like in the office (same product exactly) Medium just makes it. Wish they would make a little bigger around the upper part of the area that goes around leg. I am sure anyone of above average size will find it does not fit the leg and its a shame as it is a great support product. The shim pockets flap close over the top of the shims which makes them not ride up , they stay secure in there. However the bottom will wear through in just a matter of time. I did take the extra piece of padding meant for the ankle area and cut it in 2 pieces which I folded each one over the end of each shim or stay with the adhesive side adhering to it. This adds cushion but the support is still wearing in a way that predicts a hole at the bottom and a spot on the side in the early future.

Awesome product. Fits perfectly and has a comfortable feel.

This product is uncomfortable and not easy to wear.The straps are tricky to figure out. It took me a coupleof tries before I knew how to close it. I really did hate it.I stopped using it after only wearing it a few times.
