Album in exactly the condition described and surpassed expectations!
This album arrived ahead of expected date in the new, unopened, factory-sealed condition described by the seller. I was amazed. This album was released in 1972 and was still in the condition it was in when it left the factory except a very small punch hole in upper case. Where has this album been all these years? What a fascinating mystery! I''m grateful to the seller for this rare fine!!!

Finally, David's solo debut on CD
Thanks to Buddah Records we finally get to hear David's 1972 solo LP on compact disc. What the others failed to mention in their reviews is that this CD finally delivers the uncut version of "I Am A Clown," complete with the spoken word intro. Prior to this reissue, the only version available domestically was the edited one found on the "Definitive Collection," released in January 2000 on the Arista label. Sure you get the hit singles too, but this terrific song (written by Tony Romeo, the same songwriter that wrote "I Think I Love You" plus several other Partridge Family hits) is reason alone to buy this disc. Maybe one day we will get some of the other 70s LPs and B-sides not currently available. Until then, I'll continue humming "See the funny little clown ..."

Best album Ever by David Cassidy
This c.d. contains the great hit Cherish. It also has other good songs, I am a clown, and Ricks Theme. This album came out after the Partridge Family had ended,I think it is the Best album David Cassidy ever put out, it showed Cassidy had great vocal depth and the music was great. The c.d. was delivered in good time, and in great shape. A must buy for David Cassidy fans!! James Mell

Just brilliant! Pleasant easy music.
The single Cherish was release in late 1971 reaching number 9 in the US Charts. David's first solo LP: Cherish followed in early 1972. It reached No.15 in the US/No.2 in UK. The LP was deleted by the late 70's.Unlike the other compilations, the version of 'Could It Be Forever' is a different watered down take. On this Cherish album/CD it is the original (BEST) hit version. This CD also contains the complete (original) full length 'I am A Clown' (UK No.3)Every track is brilliant and catchy. 'My First Night Alone Without You', 'Where Is The Morning' are ace. My favourite track is 'Could It Be Forever'. This was a massive hit (No.2) at the time in the UK.Having bought the original LP many years ago it was a delight to have this on CD, when it was first issued in 2000. Subsequent release in 2008 or earlier have a fine beautifully remastered quality that sounds excellent. When I first heard this album I rated it a Number 1. It typified some of the early 70's easy listening for young people at the time. And despite some corny lyrics the recorded work and arrangements are richly well done. The CD inlay is well informative on the period of David Cassidy recorded work at the time, and some great pictures as well as the original LP back cover. In my view/personal taste, out of all the David Cassidy/Partridge Family albums, this is David's best ever album he has ever recorded along with his 1985 Romance CD album. Perhaps a possible reissue on CD by Sony/BMG and a 'proper' COMPLETE (including 'Romance') original hit recordings 'Greatest Hits' packageI originally wrote a review on Amazon US back in 2000. This is my UK version! If you have not heard this album before, you won't be disappointed, don't delay obtain it. Amazon has rated 5 stars for a `top marks' I rate this CD 10!

You can't beat a bit of nostalgia
A wonderful CD, I can't believe I waited so long to buy it. I've just been transported back in time to the days of David Cassidy mania and sitting in my bedroom listening to this album and sharing all of David's angst and heartbreak. There are some really great songs on this album and David delivers them well with his gentle easy singing voice. Who could forget the lovely 'Could it be Forever' one of his better known hits? It still sounds great. Then we have the achingly sad 'My First Night Alone Without You' and Where is the Morning' which all of us (then) teenagers thought we could relate to! My favourite however is 'I Am a Clown' which pretty much sums up how David was feeling at that time, as we found out later. Knowing this makes it all the more poignant. This is an excellent CD and I'd recommend it to anyone who is in need of a trip down memory lane. You can't beat a bit of nostalgia!

Fond memories.
Okay, so unlike most girls, I never had the hots for the likes of David Cassidy and Donny Osmond at the time - I preferred my guys to be a bit older and more masculine - and I don't mean rippling muscles and body hair nurtured out of insecurities... However; I enjoyed the music, and it's a testament to their capabilities that after forty years they're not only still remembered, but their albums are being re-mastered and re-issued on CD, and so that must say something! This was David Cassidy's first album that made number two. It has a couple of hit singles on it, and the album material is pretty good too, but the main thing for people of our age is that it's reminiscent of a period in our lives that still makes us feel good.Lovely memories!

Surprisingly Lisrtenable.
David Cassidy's first solo album from 1972. Not my cup of tea as a kid at the time but years change things and when you just want a nice tune and a little bit of nostalgia this does the job nicely. Could It Be Forever and Cherish are the clear faves but I I am quite surprised how much I like "I Am A Clown" which has become a favorite of mine in its own right.
