Music Listography Journal: (Gift for Music-Lovers, Journal for Teens, Book about Music)

I met the creator of this journal at Emerald City Comic Con fairly recently and was immediately intrigued! I’m terrible when it comes to journaling, I start and end up stop within weeks, but I have kept up with this one since it is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. Music is everything to me, so this one was my obviously my first choice. I have since purchased the film and travel editions and absolutely love them, my kiddo is getting into them too!

THIS IS A WONDERFUL BOOK. BEING A SCRAPBOOKER, I LIKE ANYTHING THAT RELATES TO MY LIFE. I BELIEVE THAT THIS BOOK IS SO EASY FOR ME BECAUSE, I OWN SO MUCH MUSIC. I HAVE AT LEAST 1,500 VINYL ALBUMS AND 300 45'S THAT I BEGAN BUYING SINCE I WAS 12 YEARS OF AGE, AND MY PARENTS WOULD GIVE ME MY THREE DOLLAR ALLOWANCE EVERY WEEK. I'M ALWAYS LISTENING TO MUSIC. AT LAST COUNT, I OWN 602 CDS. WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY POINT. I HAD NO IDEA THAT I WOULD REMEMBER SO MUCH MUSIC WHEN I OPENED UP THIS BOOK TO BEGIN WRITING. EACH PAGE HAS TWENTY LINES FOR YOU TO LIST THE MUSIC OR ARTISTS PERTAINING TO THE QUESTION. IT ASK YOU TO LIST THINGS LIKE "LIST TWENTY ALBUMS YOU WOULD BRING IF YOU WERE LEAVING THE PLANET ON A SPACESHIP" OR "LIST MUSIC THAT YOUR PARENTS LISTENED TO WHEN YOU WERE A CHILD". THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! IT HAS ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY PAGES OF SOMETHING TO LIST ABOUT MUSIC. I WAS IN MY GLORY WHEN I WAS ASKED TO LIST MY FAVORITE MUSIC FROM THE 60'S, 70'S. 80'S AND 90'S, KNOWING THAT IF I WAS ASKED TO LIST MUSIC FROM THE 40'S OR 50'S (I WAS BORN IN 1956) I COULD DO SO. LIST MY FAVORITE CONCERTS THAT I HAVE ATTENED. LIST WHO I WOULD LIKE TO BE A BACKUP SINGER OR DANCER FOR---WHAT A LIST!!! THIS BOOK MAKES YOU REMEMBER MUSIC FROM EVERY PERIOD OF YOUR LIFE. WHAT SONGS WERE YOU LISTENING TO WHEN YOUR HEART WAS BROKEN THE FIRST TIME. LIST MOMENTS IN MUSIC YOU WILL NEVER FORGET. I ENJOY FILLING OUT EACH PAGE IN MY SPARE TIME. ORDER THIS BOOK AND YOU WILL REMEMBER EVERYTHING; ARTISTS, MUSICALS, CONCERTS, MUSIC BIOPICS AND DOCUMENTARIES,MUSIC VIDEOS, THEME MUSIC IN FILMS, MUSIC YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE SERENADED BY, ETC. LIKE I SAID, THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!!!

The whole Listography series is a real treat for anyone who enjoys journaling, filling things out, and now: music!I'd flipped through the book once at a local Barnes & Nobles, and only recently picked it up, simply because I couldn't stop thinking about how neat the idea was.There are about 70 lists in here, and every list has 20 lines to give your answers on.Things like these are excellent to fill out (possibly date your answers so you can remember when you did a particular list/answer) and come back and see if you've changed at all. In ten years, wouldn't it be fun to think "How could I possibly think that song was about me?" in regards to the list of songs you call your theme songs?You won't be able to fill it all out immediately, which gives it more value, as you can keep returning to it out as time goes on. Unless you've met 20 rock stars already, that could be blank forever or just begging to be visited when you get the chance.Get it for your friends, you can all compare answers! Music taste says a lot about a person, and not just rock music gets a nod. You can list your favourite rappers, and jazz songs. Your guilty pleasures in music, and best songs of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. All lists are accompanied by brilliant caricatures of musicians the artist maybe liked themselves, too. Buy it if you've got some spare time every now and then, and love music!

Bought this for my mom. She loved it. It really had her bringing up memories I had never heard before and learned more about her music tastes.

I purchased this as a gift and the recipient loved it! He is a musician and started filling it out right away.

This book is unique. My husband and I have filled it out together kind of as a game. Some great stories have come out.

Bought this for a friend who likes making lists. Haven't given it to him yet, so that's why I gave it 4 stars. It's sturdy and the illustrations are creative and beautiful. I included some pictures to show the pages and the size of the book.There are around 75 different ideas for which to make lists. There are also are about 10 blank, lined pages in the back for your own ideas.

This book is a must have for the creative, eclectic, mod, artsy, rockstar in your life. I bought this as a gift for someone and they enjoyed it. The book is bigger than I thought it would be but its not bulky or anything. If anything, I wish I had one since it asks questions like 'what were you favorite music moments in movies?' ' what were your favorite bands in high school?' 'What concerts and festivals have you attended...'The list is endless with a plethora of interesting questions all towards music. It's a great gift mates, check it out.

I love the listography books and this music one is probably my favourite. Great prompts, asks all about your favourite bands, favourite songs, most memorable concerts etc as well as some questions about music you hate! Fair amount of space to write on each page and the quality of the paper is nice. Would make a good present for a music lover.

This is a great gift for the music lover in your life. There are lots of list ideas and room to create your own.My brother loved it so much that I now have to buy my other brother one too

Love the idea of this - though I'm very indecisive so going to take me a while to fill it!! Good quality book, beautiful artwork and interesting lists.

I bought this for my music-geek husband for his birthday and he loves it! Such a fantastic idea and he's looking forward to getting started!
