Good product, works fine with windows

First it didn't work with the VGA Amazon Basics cable for my Asus desktop computer with Windows 10 Pro. So I tried an old VGA cable and it kinda worked and only showed static picture of my desktop for that monitor. I tried different usb ports, same result. I also installed the drivers that came with the unit. The software once installed is completely in Chinese but that shouldn't be an issue as it's either running or not running. So now I have to live without another monitor until I get another brand and will spend more on a better unit since I'm disappointed with this product. I would upload a picture but I'm just done with this and shipped it back to Amazon per UPS. Maybe it will work for you? Hit and miss? Who knows at this point and will just get another more expensive product with more 1k+ reviews.

great product

I have a desktop and three laptops on which I have tried to use this unit. It works on 2 of the laptops and not at all on the desktop. I added PCI Express USB 3.0 card to the desktop and have assured I have the correct drivers, but it still will not work. It will work on a i5 processor laptop but not a i7. When it fails I keep getting an error that the "xHCI Host Controller for this USB 3.o port cannot display high resolution." If I reduce the display resolution, it starts to work but flickers making it unusable as well. Considering sending this unit back for a refund or just discarding it in a circular bin.

So far on Amazon I have bought decent products this being the first thing I have been truly disappointed with. As of the moment I have this repackaged and ready to send back. When i first plugged this item in I noticed that the dimensions were extremely small. I then noticed that it had a disk with the necessary driver for this item. So in the end I had to restart my computer five times before everything was set up correctly. After that issue came to scaling and resolution. Every time I tried to change the scaling the resolution became worse and worse. Even with the recommended dimension size it looked terrible. When ever I has my cursor on that screen it would skip in such a way that I couldn't see it well. If I had a video it would skip due to the low frame rates. Also before you ask my graphics card is fine I had recently just replaced it with the GTX 1660 TI. Also I had recently just been using my dads adapter and everything sized well the resolution was great and the video didn't skip. I cannot put into words how much this thing disappointed me and would never suggest this to anyone.

I bought this adapter to add 2nd monitor for my work. It worked great the 1st month, then started getting glitchy. Now won't work at all and it I've had it not quite 3 months. I'm back to one monitor until I can replace adapter with a different one...bummer.

Works good

This didn't work well for me. It's possible that my new HP laptop has a graphics card that isn't compatible with a 13 year old Samsung VGA display.The disk provided wasn't needed. It found a driver when plugged in to the USB port. That was great since the new laptop doesn't have an optical drive!
