This is my first tarot deck and I couldn't be more pleased! I love all things Steampunk but was afraid that this would be just a novelty deck. After some research I took the plunge and ordered it. Each card illustration is so detailed and based on the Rider deck (which I have been studying) so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to recognize each card for what it was.The Manual is very detailed and the author Barabara Moore has fun little tidbits throughout (extra tips, interesting explanations for the cards, and jokes to bring some fun into tarot reading). I am really enjoying her writing style and the beauty of the cards. It has made learning the cards fun and fairly easy.Anyone who is interested in steampunk, I highly recommend this deck, it is well worth it! I notice that some reviewers have commented on the quality (thickness) of the cards, but that seems to be something that was corrected because the thickness seems appropriate and I am not afraid to handle the cards for fear of damaging them. Honestly my only complaint is that it did not come with a box or bag to hold the cards in. Even a cheapish box like one for playing cards would have been nice. Instead, I was crafty and made my own cloth pouch to hold them in. All in all, well done!

I love this deck of cards. The artwork is amazingly detailed. I would recommend this deck to anyone whether they are a beginner or an expert. I hardly use the book for any deck of tarot cards anymore because I try to feel the cards and make a connection to them to find their meanings. I find that this makes my readings more accurate and personal. This deck is by far the easiest to make the connections with.I do have two problems with this tarot deck though. The first is that it doesn't come with a box to carry just the cards. For people who travel to do readings, like me, you need that box to keep them in so you aren't chasing after the cards. The box that comes is big enough for the book and cards but still there is nothing to keep the cards from going all over the place. This can be solved by finding a tin or a cloth to wrap them in.The next problem I have is that the cards are not laminated or made out of a stronger material. I have noticed that the cards bend easier than most. They are not made out of a cardboard or cardboard paper like most of the decks I have and are not laminated.

I'm attracted to interesting Tarot decks, and this one combined steampunk-inspired art and beautiful renderings. I found the cards close enough to more traditional decks to be easily interpreted, if you are interested in reading the cards.But if you just collect Tarot decks you may well find this an interesting addition to your collection.

My new favorite deck. I generally prefer more colorful decks, but this one "fits" me. For example, the Hierophant card in this deck makes the meaning so much clearer to me -- and removes my prejudices. I could say the same about many of the other cards in the deck.

Awesome cards, but the book is a little average.If you want a more thorough look at the cards you will need to do more research.But a perfect card deck and book for a beginner.

I purchased this tarot deck with many expectations and about what it is the design of the cards I am very happy. Most of them have a great imagery, but about the quality of the deck I think the cards are very thin and can be damaged very easily.

I got these as a gift for a budding tarot reader who is majorly into steampunk and he loved them. The pictures are not only beautiful but also accurately depict what each card should be about. I highly recommend!

Im 28 yrs old and this is my first Tarot Deck. I searched to find the perfect deck that 'spoke' to me, my style and Gothic personality, and boy did I strike gold with this one! Its PERFECT!
