There are some very good things about the book and some bad things about it.The content/pictures are interesting. Some you can guess right away, others you're not positive what they are even when finished.I have enjoyed the book to a point, but have also become very frustrated and angry about its publication. Why did the publisher allow this to happen. A revision should have been required. Why the frustration and anger? The numbers are so tiny and so faintly printed some cannot be seen without a magnifying glass. In many areas the number are much too close together, then in others they are nearly a full page apart. In the introduction the author mentions a ruler. I thought, "Why would one need a ruler for a dot to dot puzzle?" I soon found out. You may have two consecutive numbers that are an inch or two apart, but in between the two consecutive numbers are other numbers. They appear to be right on the line you want to draw from one number to the next. It takes a ruler from say "14" to "15" in order to tell if your line should be drawn to the right or the left of these numbers that appear to be "in the way" of the line you want to draw. If you draw your line on the wrong side of these two consecutive numbers, you will be in trouble later in the puzzle. Most of the images are good when completed, but completing some of them is not easy due to the size of the type and the faintness of the printing. It's not very relaxing to have to use a ruler and a magnifying glass to complete a puzzle. It's also cumbersome if you want to sit in a comfortable place and relax with the book and the fun of seeing what turns out, having to gather ruler and magnifying glass before beginning takes a lot of the fun out of the puzzles and creates a situation in which they are not relaxing. In fact, they can become stressful and frustrating. This book has some very good points and some very bad points......the reason I would like to be able to rate it in categories, not just the star system. I rated it a three star, but considered because of what is mentioned above, giving it only two stars. We do these kinds of things to relax and have fun. Not true of this book most of the time. I'd like to see a second, similar book in the series with number (and letters) one can easily read and not become frustrated. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great drawings *by B***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 27, 2021* It seemed like some of the drawings were repeated from other Woodroffe books.My favorite drawings are the ones of people and people doing things, art masterworks, and s plants, animals and insects.My least favorite are the drawings of manmade stuff like buildings/architecture and vehicles.I lke best when I can't tell what the finished image will be, and I like how David sequences the numbers to make it harder to find them. In this book he has included less borders around the images, which is fine with me as sometimes they seem to add nothing to the drawing and require a very long straight line (I avoid using rulers)Some ideas for future dot books by David--fairy tales, illustrations from classic literature, a gardening theme, still lifes. I'll keep buying them if he keeps making them!I notice he has started doing coloring books, which I am probably not going to buy, even though they look wonderful, because I have too many coloring books and often feel afraid to spoil them by actually coloring in them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book is very relaxing even though it is challenging. *by H***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 12, 2022* I am enjoying this book a lot.
