I bought this specifically for two potted plants on my patio (a Japanese Maple tree and a gardenia plant). To test for accuracy I used on a number of plants in different areas that were at various moisture levels. The reading was the same every place I tested. All said the soil was dry despite a couple having just been soaked. PH level and light also exactly the same reading which is not possible. The Japanese maple was a big investment for me and I thought this might help me keep it healthy but it is uselessUPDATE: After writing the above review the seller immediately reached out to me via email. They felt it was possible a defective item had made it through quality control and offered to send me another. In two days I had the new one and I just tested it. It works exactly as advertised and I’m really pleased. I’m so impressed with the level of customer service.

Difficult to read
For plants in the earth or in low pots, I find it difficult to read the meter if inserted directly 90 degrees into the earth. If inserted at angle which allowed reading from above, the depth of insertion is greatly reduced. For people with bending and kneeling problems, getting down to the device to read it, if inserted straight down may be impossible. A device such as this with the meter being readable from above would be an improvement. The ph scale is behind the lower portion of the meter case making it difficult to see.

Easy to use
I like the ease of use. Place the switch for the test you want, insert probes in the soil and read the appropriate meter scale.Not sure how to know if the ph readings are accurate. I will have to run a test on a known sample.

The Price is Accurate!
The price is accurate seeing as it doesn't work! I mostly needed it as a pH measure, but the pointer stays on the same number. I moved the reader to different plants with different pH's (blue hydrangea and pink), and it still reads at '7'. I then switched the settings to moisture, light, and it still reads at '7'. I've left the reader in a plant for a month thinking maybe it needs time. And it still reads '7'. I'd Suggest y'all look for something of better quality.

Great product. Not sure if light meter is accurate though.
Easy to read and use. Great product for the price. The moisture meter and ph meter seem to work very well. Im not so sure about the accuracy of the light meter, otherwise perfect. 10/10 would recommend.
