Kept me warm & toasty in the Northern Japan Alps
I bought this insulated pad to take up to the 2500-3003m Northern Japan Alps in mid April. I go up there every year to camp in the snowy mountains & every year I freeze my buns off with a less insulated pad, so this time I decided to upgrade to something that would keep me warm. Most of the insulated pads I looked at were too expensive for my budget, but this one is a great balance of cost, weight, & performance. The first night was around -10C with strong winds, but I never felt the cold coming up underneath me. The few times my arm or leg strayed off the pad I could feel the difference immediately. It's really comfortable & quiet, & kind of curls up a bit around the edges which is nice, because it makes you feel snug & secure, like you're in a nest. Size-wise, I fit on it with room to spare. I'm 5'9" & slim but I imagine it would be fine for someone larger. I'm a side sleeper & roll around a lot but never felt like I was lacking for room. It's easy to inflate / deflate & to roll up & put away. When it's in its stuff sack it's around the size of an American football. I actually really like the fact that the stuff sack is a little larger than it needs to be. It makes it easy to put away at the end of the trip, rather than having to squeeze as hard as you can to stuff it in the sack, like some of my other pads.To sum up, PROS:Lightweight (for an insulated pad)Compact when stuffed away (again, for an insulated pad - larger than my non-insulated pads)Very very quietProvides great insulation in -10C snowy & windy conditionsComfortable & snugEasy to inflate / deflate / packECOTEK plants a tree for every purchase! Awesome!!!CONS:none that I can think of. All around a great pad. I highly recommend this pad! Thanks a lot for keeping me toasty ECOTEK! I'm looking forward to staying warm on my next cold weather adventure.

Valve is poorly placed
Upon first test, this seems like a decent enough air mattress. It inflates with maybe a dozen breaths. I can see a flaw right away. The inflation valve is incredibly poorly placed. It is directly under where your head will land. The first time I laid down on the mattress, the valve poked me hard in the back of the skull. I may have to return it if this is a problem in the tent. Maybe for car campers who always have a pillow it's not a big deal, but for lighter-weight campers it may be a deal breaker. This is why more established brands put their valves in the corner and at the edge rather than the center.

Perfect for cold weather camping!
I absolutely love this sleeping pad! I hammock camp, and for colder weather (below 25°F), my 20°underquilt alone wasn't quite cutting it. This past weekend, I camped using this plus my underquilt and I was super toasty even at nearly 20°F! I'm a side-sleeper in the hammock, and this pad did not slide at all when I rolled over onto my side. And the placement of the valve is not an issue AT ALL. In fact, the placement is perfect. It was out of the way and my head never touched it. The pad took 10-12 breaths to inflate. Deflation is SUPER easy, especially when you poke the rubber flap through (you'll see what I mean when you get yours). I had zero problem getting all the air out and putting it back into the bag it came in. It was very comfortable to lie on and do not make any crunchy noises when I moved around. Even though I used it in a hammock, I think it would be completely fine on the ground and for tent camping. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to stay warm while camping!

Works as advertised
Used on two recent camp outs with the scouts. The nights got down to the 20s on the most recent weekend. The sleeping pad kept the chill from the ground away.

Good comfort at a good price
I am using the Ecotek Insulated Hybern 8 to replace my Thermarest Scout (an open cell foam mattress). The Hybern 8 is definitely more comfortable than the Scout and I can actually sleep reasonably well on my side (which was not possible with the Scout). The Hybern 8 is a lot easier to inflate, deflate and pack into the provided stuff sack as compared to the Scout. My initial test drive of the Hybern 8 was in the warm Florida climate, so the true test of its insulating properties will have be gauged in April when I take it in the mountains on an Appalachian Trail section hike in April. I will try to update my findings after that trip.

Perfect for Cold Tempuratures!
This was a great purchase. I recently used it on a backpacking trip in the Bankhead National Forest. Temperatures were in the high teens to low 20s, with a wind chill in the low teens. This sleeping pad paired with my REI Magma 10 gave for a nice, toasty night’s sleep. It’s a great length, and it’s a great width (deal breaker for me, I have very broad shoulders). All around great sleeping pad! Lightweight, easy setup and tear down, very comfortable. I highly recommend!

Comfortable, warm
Camped in tent at 18 F on frozen ground. Back was warm and comfortable the entire night (other than feet coming off the pad). Bottom of pad was freezing cold against the ground but the top was warm against my sleeping bag. Doesn't slide around much while rolling in the bag. Easy to blow up and deflate, great pad. Would highly recommend.

Great product!
I'll start off by saying I am a side sleeper, both hammock camping and in tents. This pad performs wonderfully and helps tremendously with body heat retention when it's chilly and keeping you cool when it's not. Stays in my comforter or sleeping bag very nicely without a lot of noise or slippage.

Very comfortable
I am 265 lbs. the most important thing to me in a pad is not bottoming out. I don’t feel the ground at all when lying on it. I’m impressed with the quality, ingenuity and price. I have not had it out in cold weather yet so won’t comment on that.

Proper use with a proper rated sleeping bag will keep you very comfortable in cooler climates
Many are asking about the "R" value of this mattress and this is how it works:1. When used outside of the sleeping bag (under the bag) in a tent, you may see R .5 at best as this mattress does not have a uniform thermal break between the ground (cold) and your body (heat) and thermal dynamics plays well with these gaps. However on nights above 45 degrees it's less of an issue.2. On cooler nights, below 45-degrees, you need to place the mattress INSIDE of the bag as that is when this really performs well. In conjunction with the thermal rating of your sleeping bag (assuming you have a decent thermal rated bag), and this mat INSIDE the bag you will do very well and sleep quite comfortably.Too many are just not using this the proper method for the type of ambient outdoor temperature.NOW for comfort this is quite good and for a better nights sleep, I use this in conjunction with my portable camp cot on those really cold nights and place a reflective blanket underneath and it actually gets very, very toasty.I don't mind the valve as it flows quite well and I used 7 large breaths to fully inflate the mat and then I added 1 more to provide more firmness and there was no issues.I'm 5' 8", 165 lbs and this handles my frame quite easy, I suspect that if you are 6' 6" and 235 this is not the matt for you but under 6', no issues.

I would recommend this sleeping pad.
Pros- Comfortable sleeping pad, doesn't slip, super easy to inflate/deflate, cheap cost, doesn't leak air.Cons- A bit tough to pack back into the sack it comes with, the insulation could use work (although it would be perfect for early fall/spring/summer). I was winter camping in Algonquin and there was a slight chill however it was definitely bearable.

Excellent in cold.
Slept on 6 inches of ice, didn’t even notice. Folds very small. I just fold it flat in my pack, instead of rolling it, blows up in 13-15 breaths.

Sleeping pad for cold weather
*I WILL UPDATE to give a real truth review on it.Not tested yet outdoors but just unboxed and looks like a good pad but not sure of the insulation,as you can see on pictures with the sun you can say than it doesnt have a lot of insulation,it marked as -10°C and i have doughts about that.Super Easy to inflate and deflate, took maybe 6 or 7 deep breaths.Received 2 repair patches but no silicone/glue for it.

As described and on time
This unit is recommended by Corporals Corner on his U YouTube channel. He has hundreds of outdoor adventures and if he recommends a product you can be sure it is reputable and well made. I look forward to many adventures this summer on my motorcycle camping trips. I also am very impressed with the customer service as this company wants to be involved with your purchase and your product feedback. Well done and keep up the great work and product.

Great sleeping pad!
I get cold and my hips hurt when I'm laying without a lot of cushion under me on the ground.. I used this pad for a multi-day hike and it is an amazing sleeping pad. I can only compare to 2 others that I've used that were substantially cheaper but this one worked really well for me.

Thought it had a leak, nope it was my error.
What can I say, I messed up. This pad has been awesome. My previous review I expressed my disappointment in the pad due to a leak and only using it in the snow. Truth be told, I was tired, blew it up went to bed right away so with the cold temp it went down. Yes I bought another pad but I am still using this one. What can I say except this is a good pad and I would ignore my negative comment as it is or was moot. One must not judge to quickly....

Leaked in less than a month of ownership!
I was using this to camp out and in less than five uses is already leaking air! Within approximately 2 hours I was sleeping on the ground. Tried to locate the leak with no success, but continues to leak air. I have the original version of this pad that I have to add more air after a couple of days but that is acceptable! This is higher-priced and I believed that this company was worth the extra money. I can't seem to find anyone that can help me as the return window is closed. I'm not happy with this for obvious reasons. I take care of my gear so I am surprised by the result.Update:I did find one of the leaks located on the top center of the sleep pad. I tried using the supplied patch but you need to purchase a separate sealant so that it will adhere to the product. For this I used seamgrip which is all I had but guarantees to do the repair. Successfully sealing that leak but unfortunately there must be more because the pad still will not hold air! It might be leaking around the valve but I will have to do some more searching. If only the product worked as advertised I wouldn't have to do this!

Comfortable and easy to inflate
Super easy to inflate. Took only 12-15 big breaths, as advertised (no pump needed) and the valve doesn't allow the air to come gushing back out as soon as you let go. It provided more than enough cushioning for me. I'm a side sleeper, so other inflatables have my hip bones sitting on the ground (not comfortable), but this one kept me well supported. I assume the hex pattern had something to do with that. FYI, I'm about 80kgs. In fact, for the times when I was lying on my back, it almost felt too rigid, but that was easily fixed by deflating it slightly. Easy to remove all of the air and it packs up fairly tightly when it's time to go. Also, the price point is REALLY good, when compared to some of the other options out there.

Bon rapport qualité-prix
Merci EcoTek !

nice but it needs to have a XL option
I am six foot tallthis product fits but if there were a extra long and extra wide product with the same 4 season option I would trade it in in a instant an extra 41 CM wide and 51 cm longerand for all stick with the black only option. combat green this thing is notadd in an option that the stuff sack is also the blow up device this prevents your breath from freezing the valve open or closed in winter

Comfortable and extremely small and light weight
Haven’t used it outdoors yet. I’ve used it on sleepovers on hard floors. I have a bad back an usually take muscle relaxants or other back medication before sleeping on air mattresses. If not I may not be able to walk the next day. No problem with this air mattress. My daughter also seems to like it.

Perfect
Great for backcountry trips. Packs away very small and lightweight. Easy and quick to inflate and keeps its air overnight. A very comfortable night's sleep. I weigh 150lbs. I would buy this again if I was looking for another one.
