Basics of Web Design: HTML5 & CSS3 (3rd Edition) 3rd Edition

Great book so far, learned a lot of info. Easy to understand and lots of hands on practice to help apply what you have learned.

Really enjoyed this book it was a great refresher in my web development skills. I really hope that you will get it for yourself.

Mostly understandable book. There are a few things here and there worded weirdly, but it does a good enough job at explaining itself. Needs some proofreading. Some of the files associated with the exercises aren't available. That said, I wouldn't outright buy this book - only rent.

This is a good introduction to Web Design. I used it for my intro class and it was helpful. It is mostly clear, however it could use more editing. There are quite a few typos and some of the files are not available for the activities. Perhaps the folks at Pearson should get another editor. For example, some photos for an exercise in chapter 5 are not in the student files. Some details such as what percentage size of photos for some activities are not listed either.

Very straight forward textbook. It's helping me a lot through my online IT class this semester. It's not big either which makes it easy to carry around to coffee shops and libraries to study. Overall, I would recommend it especially for the hands-on practice sections. Those were most beneficial if you look at anything.

I rented this book but I didn't use it at all. It's much faster to google. W3 is a great website.

Great book for beginners. Clear directions with very helpful illustrations.
