High Smoke Point - great for wok cooing
It's hard to find rice bran oil on the West Coast, but it's a great, high-smoke-point oil to use for wok cooking. I like to get my wok good and hot, over 450 degrees before pouring in the oil. The rice bran oil works much better than regular store-bought oils like soy, safflower, corn, canola, etc. It doesn't get my kitchen all smoky and it doesn't sog into the food. I can quickly stir-fry a batch and not have my food swimming in a lower-smoke-point oil. To the person who wanted to use olive oil, it is not really meant for frying since it has a low smoke point and you end up destroying the oil. It's more for flavoring. Use the rice bran oil or the peanut oil for high heat. The rice bran oil may be cloudy coming out of the bottle, but I don't see a problem with using it. It clears up when heated up. It is a little thicker than peanut oil, but again, I see no difference in the finished cooking.

Rice Bran is the way to go....
I am a fry master! And like all who have gone before me - we have always sworn by peanut oil as the best to fry....! And I still would go for that if I was focused on that specific flavor for my fry. But Rice Bran oil has a higher burn temperature level, so you can fry hotter and longer without the oil degrading - and it tastes GREAT!! It is the secret for cooking awesome tempura. Ultimately I would love to use Olive oil for most foods, but that burns waaay too quickly. I have only ever had Peanut oil get a "burnt" flavor one time. But since discovering this Rice Bran oil - my food comes out perfect every time and again - it tastes great!! Plus, I can find it on Amazon for the same price as - or cheaper - than the Peanut oils....! Still ultimately pricey, but def the way to go, yo!

Not sure why it isn't more popular!
I was introduced to rice bran oil (and Riceland brand) when I lived in the heart of rice country in Arkansas. This is one of the best cooking oils available - especially for deep frying. It compares favorably to peanut oil in heat-resistance, yet obviously doesn't have the allergan risk. Even better, rice bran oil doesn't affect the flavor of the foods cooked in it. Unfortunately, it is kind of hard to find this stuff if you don't live in rice/Riceland country, so I was glad to find it on Amazon (even if the prices is higher than the cost where I use to live).Another positive use that I have discovered - it is a great topper for horse feed when your animals need the extra calories and/or coat conditioner! Much better for them than soybean-based oils.

DOESN’T STINK
Shipped faster than expected. Bought this in place of the “body builder” for my horse. I’ll update if I see any improvement in her weight. Also not to mention someone’s review said it stinks. This jug is labeled and with a whole year before it expires. It also doesn’t smell like anything. I opened the seal and it didn’t smell like anything gross or nasty.

Good Product
When I received it through the mail, it had leaked out half of the product. They need to pack it better cause I only got half of what I paid for.

Great solution for itchy dog
I adopted a Boxer mix dog who was very itchy all the time. I tried antihistamines, olive oil, oatmeal shampoo, food changes and other various treatments. Nothing worked, but after a month of just splashing about an ounce of this great rice bran oil on his food, he has almost completely quit scratching, and when he does, it's a legitimate itch. This is a great product and both of my dogs benefit from it. Their coats are shiny and beautiful.

Great all purpose oil
I've been getting rice oil at some of the Asian supermarkets near me, and it's great for high temp stiffening, and basically any use. It has a pleasant aroma, doesn't really change the taste of anything. I was Happy this one is pure and from the US as well, highly recommended!
