These are fun
I have done three different ones of these. They are fun to put together and even more fun to solve the puzzles. I have seen in other reviews that people have problems but I haven't had any issues with this brand at all. Of the 3 I've done , this one was my favorite, both the putting together and the solving. Will buy more of these.

Loved this puzzle, the solution made sense to me
I just finished the Witch's Kitchen puzzle tonight and I loved it. I spent a few hours a day, for three days, working mostly alone, my husband helped assemble a little bit, and I solved the riddles on my own.It was my first time doing a Ravensburger escape puzzle and I'm looking forward to doing more BUT I also do a lot of escape room games, treasure hunts, and "point and click" adventure video games with hidden objects, riddles and brain teasers. If that's not your thing, then this puzzle probably won't make a lot of sense to you. It's still a lovely jigsaw, even without the "escape" riddle part of it, but it is not quite like other jigsaw puzzles.1) Unlike some jigsaw puzzles, there are no letters or clues on the back, such as "AAAAAA" or "BBBBBB" etc, and it doesn't come with a poster to lay down on the table as a guide.2) The picture on the box is not exactly the same as the picture in the completed puzzle, though it is close enough that I still found it very helpful.3) The edge pieces are cut so they are interchangeable. The internal pieces are not this way, just the edges, so it makes assembling the border a challenge, but not impossible. The puzzle dimensions are on the box, which helps. I put together most of the border, but not all of it, and then started working on the inside for awhile.A lot of people are posting that the solution is incorrect but I didn't have a problem with it. It didn't even occur to me that there was anything wrong until I came here to rate the puzzle and I read the other reviews.I don't want to give answers or spoilers, so I'll just say this: The solution is to IDENTIFY the antidote. If you've done that, nothing else matters.

Fun but
Really cool concept. The box doesn't match the picture (intentionally) so there are hidden clues to find. Before you begin, you have to sort through the cardboard trash rectangles. We had a lot of trouble putting together the border since the pieces don't snap into place very well, kinda felt like any piece could fit into any other piece. But with a good light, we could make sure the piece actually went with the other. The escape part of it was pretty good. All math related, so keep that in mind. We escaped! Also the puzzle hint English page didn't lead to anything, but if you click the German flag and translate page, there's help there if needed.

Love This Concept!
Yes! This is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a puzzle that had clues in the puzzle. I absolutely loved putting the puzzle together and solving all the riddles. Highly recommend!

Not a regular puzzle! Designed to make it hard to figure out.
This is not a regular puzzle. My husband ordered it, thinking it was. It’s a special mystery puzzle and it doesn’t match the picture they sent. You have to try to figure out how it goes together. We are completely baffled, and as a result we are not going to work the puzzle. No doubt many people would love the challenge! But too much for us, hence the rating.

I like this puzzle enough to write a review about a puzzle
First of all, this is a nice one for the Halloween season, but not so cliched as to be untouchable the rest of the year. The "escape" code-breaking and number sequence puzzles that you can do after putting the jigsaw together are pretty simple, but you don't have to do them to enjoy this if you like the content of the picture itself. The final image is different than on the box in a few places, which is amusing, but the best thing is that the amount of details makes it relatively easy to assemble. I only resorted to shape matching for the last 10% or so of the pieces.Yes, there are few false positive fits, but that's part of the fun...

Don't make yourself crazy. Here are a few tips.
This is a beautiful puzzle that is slightly difficult to complete since the edge pieces are nearly identical in shape. Regardless that didn't bother us and we enjoyed putting it together. The puzzles within the puzzle ranged from easy to moderately difficult. We solved them all without looking at the clues. So the final solution is where this puzzle fails in a big way. I'm writing this because this was a fun puzzle but you have to make allowances (that you shouldn't have to) for the final solution. The "missing" puzzle piece for the final puzzle does NOT fit (but it is more or less the right shape) and part of the image on the piece is cut off. For this reason, it is easy to discard the "right" solution. Not sure how many extra hours I spent trying to figure out where we went wrong only to discover my first choice was the right one. That is darned aggravating and quite inexcusable. So if you purchase this, my advice is when you get to the end and reasonably think you have the right solution, ask someone else (not playing) to look at the envelope that has the correct answer. They can let you know whether you got it or should keep on trying. Hope this is helpful to someone!
