Such a fantastic romance!!! You need to read!!
I am so enamored with this book, I nearly can't stand myself!Medieval Scotland; strong, handsome men; compassionate, fiery, intelligent heroine; sickness; death; medical and danger filled mysteries; intrigue; building romance; real love; happy ever after. This kind of story feels realistic to me, unlike most romantic and/or nothing but steam stories I've read so far. Some romantic books leave me feeling like "Well that was hot as Hades but it could never really happen", so I feel a bit empty at the end. Not this one. And, by the way, I very much appreciate the Scottish dialect being used throughout the book. It really helped me hear it in my head better than just knowing this is in Scotland and occasionally being reminded that, " oh, that's right, this character doesn't sound like me". And props to the editors getting this digitized, because this was the first book in a while I haven't had to mentally "correct" the grammar or punctuation very much. Totally recommend this one!!!

Really enjoyed this one β€οΈ
Great book club pick! I have always been a sucker for highlander themed romance. It is like I come for the brawny men in kilts, and stay for the swoony, suspense of it all!! This one had all of that and I pretty much devoured it - good thing this author has a lot more for me to dig into!!

Well presented highland romance
Some proofing errors here, but a wonderful story. Confused by the use of both Da and Papa by the young boy. Enjoyed meeting the characters. This makes you think about what a healer back then was asked to do. Our h here is a smart lass with a questioning and open mind. How lucky they were to have her.

Very interesting
I loved how the heroine knew hot to heal everyone. From cutting out an appendix to curing celiac disease, and saving the children, she was ahead of her time. The Insta love was a little off putting and just seemed weird.he washer and loved her but couldn't marry her because he was cursed. I was just annoyed at that but there is a happy ending and the villain surprised me actually. Good book just not amazing.

Wonderful follow up novel in this series! Stands on its own, too.
I loved the first book in this series, Rescued by a Highlander, the story of Alex and Maddie. We were introduced to his sister, Brenna, in that first book, and now we continue her story where the first one left off! Loved it. Couldn't put it down. The writing is very good, written like the people would talk, and the story flowed very nicely, building the tension up till the end, and fooling the reader as to the real culprit. Kept me guessing, and that is saying something because I usually can always tell who the villain is, but not this time.In reading the two negative reviews, I must say this about the one that just wanted sex and no children. You picked the wrong genre! There are other authors who have nothing to do but write sex scenes, but this is a real story, not just sex scenes, for goodness sake. And the other person who thought the writing was not good? Sorry, as a writer myself, I know good writing (and bad) when I see it. I am guessing the reviewer is either a frustrated writer and jealous of Ms. Montclair's success, or might be a personal friend of the other author that was recommended. There is no competition here. There is plenty of room for other writers of this same genre, and I for one, waited anxiously for Ms. Montclair to publish Brenna's story, and couldn't have been more pleased after reading it.I also was very interested to see how the author made a big part of this story about illnesses that we still experience today, yet what could have been done about them way back in the early times? That is what made Brenna special, as a healer, and how she managed to help others. It was quite an art, and since today's medicines often come from synthesized forms of herbal remedies, it makes sense to show how people could have been healed at a time way before modern medicine practices were discovered and practiced.

Great continuation of the Grant Clan series
I loved getting better acquainted with the Highlanders. They are a loving loyal family who don't hesitate running after adventures. I especially enjoyed going along with Brenna's medical discoveries. She was truly a brilliant healer for her time. She was observant and kind and very caring of her patients. She knew a lot and learned more on a daily basis. Because of people like her modern medicine evolved at an amazing pace. Keeping the records and using the lore helped her save many people in her day. I could have stood a bit less of the physical description of the passionate love making. I don't think it added anything to a very good story, but if that was the only way Keira felt she could get the full story across, I guess I can just slide through those sections and other readers may enjoy them. I am not a prude, I just like some things and not others! Other than that, I give this book 5 stars!

Clan Grant is Warm, Loyal and Steamy good read
A wonderful series, with loyal strong men, smart and fierce women, delightful children, animals friends, and enemies no one would want to make. Keira Montclair writes great tales of love, loss and striving forward, filled with colorful descriptions and details. Delightful and entertaining reading, with just enough steamy romance.

This is the second book of the series that I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it it was totally different from the first but I also liked the fact that you catch up on the characters from book 1 Brenna really came into her own in the story and I thought she was very strong and capable.
