This stuff is great! Heh.
So, I bought the Pestblocker Great Stuff back in March 28, 2018 and I just used the last of it today. I bought the Foamnseal FNS 500 Polyurethane Foam Dispensing Gun/Tool along with it. Like many, I used to buy a can at my local hardware store for about 12-15 bucks, use it for a few things and then have to pitch it because it could never be re-used later. Really used to rub my rhubarb the wrong way knowing I was just throwing money away. Well, this is certainly not the case with these two products. Been just over two years since I first used it and re-used it and re-used it and re-used it. And now, I'm in the enviable position to have to buy another can that I will likely get another two years worth of use from. The foam still performs in the manner that it is supposed to and the gun has never clogged. If anything negative can be said it's that I bought a can of foam gun cleaner to go along with it and I have never needed to use it. The gun I bought is teflon coated everywhere; and not that cheap teflon coating, this stuff is the real deal - nothing sticks to it. Not even your overly clingly girlfriend could get a grip on this thing! I guess there's another negative I could throw out there: forget about using those plastic straws that come with the gun. They fly right off and are not very flexible when trying to get into awkward places. Just go buy some 3/16" or 5mm I.D. tubing at the hardware store or auto parts store, cut it to length, jam it on the end, zip tie it in place and fill your gaps like a crack-spackling, smiling fool! Now, yes, this Stuff can be a pain to work with, but what do you expect? It's incredibly sticky, expanding foam! It'd be like complaining that soap make your hand slippery! You just have to take it for what it is and like anything, the more you use it, the better you get at using it.Anyway, if you have gaps that need filling and/or pest you need to keep out, this is the Stuff you want. Buy the big can and the gun, use it, put it on your shelf and you're good to go for the next job a couple days, weeks, months or even years sown the road.

Tipping the scale in my battle with mice
A good tool for keeping your home yours! Vermin are the last thing you want to live with. Their efforts at entering your house are relentless.

Not for rodent proofing
As you probably have seen pictures provided by other reviewers it is not a fix all for rodent proofing. This to seal up small areas and discourage mice and small critters from entering your home. As a professional in excluding animals from homes this is to be used with other materials, like metals and Stainless Steal Mesh (Not Wool!). There is a difference and stainless steal wool will corrode in about 1 year, depending on the moisture and rust developing over time. The foam is to hold the Stainless Steal MESH in place. The mesh actually deters or discourages the chewing. Wearing gloves while working with this product is a must. If you make a mistake don't try to remove it right away. Wait for it to cure and then return to break off what is there or use a putty knife to removed it. Again WAIT until it cures before cleaning up a mess. Practice in an area that won't be readily visible before doing it in a visible location. If it is exposed to the environment it must be painted or the sun will degrade it.

Will always buy this for my gaps even if its not for mice
This great stuff is great. Keeps the mice out well! Have a problem with 1 out of every 10 cans or so but I always keep an extra one around. Just make sure you follow the directions on your foam gun. But this stuff with the right foam gun is so easy to control whether trying to fill small or large gaps. When it dries its yellow so don't overfill gaps or if you do have some extra paint around

Doesn’t thwart carpenter bees
Does not work against wood bees. They just chewed new holes right through the foam.

Works for house mice
Had a mouse problem in the crawlspace. Used this foam (already had a professional foam gun) to seal up areas that looked like where the mice were entering. Some of those areas were previously sealed with normal polyurethane foam (not pest block) and the mice chewed through that. So far it has worked, the mice have not chewed through this stuff and have stayed out of our crawlspace for several months so far.

Flavor?
This had a rating for flavor, and even though I didn't taste it, I'm sure the mouse I've had invading my space did. I guess Mikey did not like this, since he gnawed a bit and gave up. Kept him out of my room, and still continues to do so. I had to buy the applicator that looks like a spray gun, which was disappointing, because I thought I could just use the bottle like a can of cool whip. Well, that was a no on that.

No dispenser applicator included
This product does not include a dispenser! I suppose I should have read the fine print, but every sealant can I've ever seen includes one so that piece of information should have been more forthcoming. I have to buy a separate dispenser which doubles the price for the product, but there are many substitute products available I would have chosen had I known.
