good idea, bad execution
I got these for the Northeastern that hit New York Eastern Long Island in Jan 2015. Seem Relatively easy to install, seem easy to carry in my trunk and ideal for strapping them if my rear wheel drive car gets stuck. However, in the winter cold around 20' F it took me about 15 minutes per tire. Looks simple to install, however, if you strap them facing the wrong way or in a poor angel, you will scratch your rims or damage the straps. So it took me a while because the instructions came in CHINESE, terrible to say the least. On roads with little of no snow, these straps drove with less rattle than the Chains i tried before, they say not to go over 30 mph, but dont go over 20 mph on clear surface roads, the way your car will rattle will make you wonder if your car will fall apart. The end result, the straps scratch my beautiful spotless rims, the metal buckles scratched my rims. If you dont care about your rims, this may not be an issue. In addition, one of the strap metal stud came off the plastic strap before installing them to my tires, right out of the box, suggesting poor Chinese quality and no quality stadards just to make a quick 'profit'. I will be returning this junk, hopefully a more reputable manufacturer will execute better by providing clear instructions in English and better quality. What a disappointment!

Good Idea, but NOWHERE Near Strong Enough
These are a good idea in theory, and "almost" worked. But, the molded plastic that connected to the straps is nowhere near strong enough to withstand the twisting shear forces exerted by a moving tire on the roadway. They worked for a short while, but on a hill when the going got tough, they didn't hold up very long and broke at the point of connection to the straps (which were well-constructed with good compression buckles). The manufacturer needs to figure out a way to highly reinforce the plastic with fibers or something to keep them from breaking so easily. I would NOT recommend these for anything but very small, lightweight cars that do not need traction on any sort of hill.
