Careful removing old cap. I damaged the valve cover since it is plastic. If you are sure the replacement works for you, the cap itself can be damaged but careful with the valve cover. The cap is a little hard to take off. There are four clips in each of the corners you have to lift the cap from. They are just plastic nubs. I used a small pick and flat screw driver to remove it. I also damaged the rubber seal in my original cover so if you plan on putting the original back, be careful removing it.

It's a tight fit; need to rock it back and forth and push it down to get the clips to catch.

Worked to replace my old valve cover cap! That being said be careful when removing the old cap because you may damage the valve cover where it pops on if you force it. There are 4 plastic bits that you snap the valve cover over.
