Leos Mexican Imports Mexican Dress Puebla Royal Blue XL

I'm a fond aficionado of these great Puebla dresses and wear them almost to rags! Purchased one like this last fall in Cozumel in an XL size in brilliant yellow that fits like a dream. I was very much looking forward to adding this blue one to all the others that I wear around the house and studio...and even on local errands....but unfortunately this one was extremely snug in the hips. If you wear an XL you might consider going one size larger. And, if I get a little paint on the skirt, it's so colorful it looks like part of the design!The fabric is nice as is the embroidery. I have often wondered though why the manufacturers could not go a step or so higher on the quality of the fabric and make buying these lovely dresses a better quality. All in all, though, I would recommend this garment for a nice dress to wear around the house and most of them are quite washable and best of all...no ironing is required.

Nice but not quite as nice as another Mexican dress I recently bought from another supplier (nicer material and better quality embroidery). The yoke on the back of the dress is made from a different batch of material than the rest of the dress! It is noticeable and I can't decide if it's an attractive quirk or makes it look even cheaper! However, the dress was inexpensive, it is a lovely shade of blue and although the embroidery isn't good quality it'll be a good casual dress for the relentless Texan summer heat. If I was to buy another one I would seek out better quality.

I bought these puebla dresses for my bridesmaids, each picked their favorite color and altered it to their liking. There was plenty of material for them to work with and make it their own. Most of them took it in to make it fitted and shorten the length. I marked that they fit as expected because the dresses are meant to be worn loose (like a moo moo), so I expected them to big. Good price and shipping was fast.

I like the fit but I wish they did not come down to ankle. My previous one hit mid calf.

I intentionally ordered an XL even though I am 5'6", average to lean built, and between a medium and large. It fits as I hoped...roomy.

This dress is gorgeous! The embrodery is just beautiful. The seams need to be finished to make this dress outstanding. No problem for me.

Excellent fabric quality, lovely embroidered flowers, a great quality for the price. No hesitation in recommending it if you're looking for this style. It's our 2nd purchase of this dress, in a different color.
