Yeah. Not so good
Okay, so it works most of the time. Except for when you are like taking a timed test and it blanks out the screen for a few seconds. This happens a few times per day. You'll be working and., oops, there goes the monitor. Wait for it, and it's back.Also, it needs to be connected to a USB 3.0 port, which most newer computers have, so that's good. However, it must be the ONLY thing connected to the USB 3.0 port. I tried using a hub and that's a definite no go. So, if you want to share the USB 3.0 goodness, yeah, you can't.I'll probably be ordering another one from another manufacturer and maybe keeping this one as a sorry backup.

NOT for my desktop...
This item didnt work for my ACER desktop and it could be because my desktop is NOT made for HDMI set up but I tried installing and reinstalled three times before I gave up. It wasnt plug and play, you have to run and install the drivers which is a bit intimidating if you dont know much. I simply want a plug and play and project using the HDMI cable I had...it didnt so I am still left with using only one monitor with my VGA.

Worked first time - then a total waste of time
Updated to 1 star from 5Stopped dead in its tracks after windows update ! no resolution in sight.HUGE waste of time with flickering screen and no update on drivers. Screen is on for 5 sces and off for 30secs, cycle repeats every few seconds.Used this as an economical option, but switched to another more expensive one - that actually works like a charm even with 2 monitors. Dont waste your time and money on this one

Works but is glitchy
I work off a Dell XPS 15 laptop with 2 external 27" monitors. Installation was a bit tricky as I had to download a driver without instructions, but our tech support helped me get through the process. It does the job, but the screen blacks out from time to time for about 5 seconds, then comes back on. Since I'm doing office work, it's merely an inconvenience, but this would really bad if I were streaming movies or something more involved. It's good enough, but I'm not impressed with this product at all.

Wish it worked better
I’ve had nothing but problems with this adapter in my application. It kept crashing my pc. Once I removed it no more issues. It might work for some but going from my pc to my tv was an issue. Even with usb3 as mentioned. I go the same type of device from another vendor and it worked like a charm with no pc issues. Something is going on with the driver and windows 10.

Quality converter with picture quality as advertised
Easy to setup and the picture quality was the same as direct HDMI connection. It also is stylish and built with quality. Price is reasonable. Overall very happy with the converter.

Screen flashes on and off
It seems to work well initially, but in my case the screen goes dark basically everytime I select an action on the main monitor. So, my second monitor continually flashes on and off. Thatbis quite a distraction. Not worth it for me.

Plug and Play
Used 2 of these to add extra monitors to our work stations. Picture quality is great and the plug and play function is awesome.
