Transcendental experience as conclusion to the series
Alan Moore may get too much credit for the series, unless we acknowledge all the artists who collaborated: the images all the way through are more than half the meaning, and at times approach iconic status, in all senses. Kabalah, Tarot, and other occult traditions are deftly invoked. Promethea summarizes a heckuvalot of Mark Booth's best-selling 575-page "The Secret History of the World" in a much more approachable chunk. It lives up to Christina Hoff Kraemer's essay about it in "Graven Images: Religion in Comic Books and Graphic Novels" -- and then some. Superb!

The Mind-Bending Conclusion to a Superhero Epic
Years have passed since Volume Four, and Sophie Bangs has managed to suppress the mystic power inside her. She works in a video store and lives with a boyfriend, and everything seems hunky dory. But now the government has recruited the Tom Strong family to help capture her, and the terrified young woman is forced to once again unleash Promethea, who is destined to bring about the apocalypse. The whole America's Best team assembles to try to stop her, and everyone else from the series puts in an appearance as things look hopelessly grim. It's a satisfying conclusion to a genre-busting epic that changed early on from a superheroine comic to...something else entirely, and it features the stellar art of co-creator J.H. Williams III (SEVEN SOLDIERS OF VICTORY). The final chapter, which could have been conceived by no one else but the groundbreaking Alan Moore (WATCHMEN), is indescribable. You just have to see it. This whole book may just alter your ideas of what superhero comics can do.

The dream ends.
I have to admit, it was very much a fitting end that there wasn’t really an end to it all.

Beautiful illustration, well written
I adore this entire series. Especially interesting for those with interest in Thelema/OTO/Kabbalah leanings. Beautiful illustration, well written. book itself bound well.

World Shattering Reading
This graphic novel did an excellent job in capping off the Promethea series. This was so good that I nearly had a spiritual experience by reading it. This makes me wish that everyone else in the world had the same experience. With current events as they are, we surely need it!

visually stunning
The art is amazing in this series, I absolutely loved it. Promethea book 5 is the conclusion of the story, and probably my least favorite parts, but only because it went from being amazing, to be rushed and well, honestly bizarre. I still enjoyed it, just not as much as books 3 and 4.

A brilliant end to a wonderful series
A brilliant end to a wonderful series. Moore's writing as always is amazing as he explores and brings to life the world of magic through his characters. J. H. Williams is a master of the art of storytelling switching styles as the story slides through the dimensions.
