Review: Works great for mixing medicine for my son with Eosinophilic Esophagitis - We actually use this to mix medicine for my son. He has Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EE) and has to take medication twice a day. The purpose of taking the medicine is for the medicine to coat his esophagus. One common mixing method recommended by the GI docs it to mix the liquid medication with Splenda (A LOT of Splenda to get it to the right consistency. It took us SEVEN packets for each time so 14/day). I didn't like giving my son all of that Splenda because who knows what the long term effects will be. I learned another mixing method from another EE mom. We mix his liquid ampoule with 1/4 tsp of frozen lemonade concentrate (could use any flavor. We just chose lemon) and 1/4 tsp Thick-it. Works like a charm and is easy enough that my 7 year old makes and takes his own medicine without needing us to help. Review: Thick-it a good product - Even though I have not used the product myself, it was purchased for my husband. He was diagnosed with swallowing problems resulting in choking. This product seems to stir in easier then some of the other products he has tried. In the long run the product is cheaper then the other products as he doesn't seem to need as much as he did with other products and it is much easier to find at desertcart then the other products were in the local stores.
