I like that it is rechargeable, as some require heavy ‘C’ batteries. It makes it very lightweight and easy to handle and it is very quiet and doesn’t spook our kitten. However she did pull back when she felt the grinding on her nails. That should improve in time.I also like the addition of the diamond grinding wheels instead of the type that uses the sandpaper wheels.

I really like this. It took a little while to get my little girl, a 10 lb. Chihuahua, to sit still so I could do her nails, but with patience and time, she got to where she would sit still. I would have cut the nails, but they are black and I am not sure where the quick is. The grinder does not grind down the nails fast, even on high speed, so you have to be rather patient with it. I would suggest cutting the nails first if you can, then using this to smooth them out. I ground on her nails a little each day until they looked like they should be. Munchkin got a treat each time she sat still for even just a few seconds. Now when I start the grinder, she jumps into my lap to have her nails done and I don't have to give her treats quite as often. Other than not grinding off the nail as quickly as I would like, it works well.

I really like the this nail trimmer! I have been looking for a trimmer designed like this which has a top grinder. I saw many of the grinders can only grind on the side not like this which can grind your dog's nail parallel to the ground. It has two sides for both bigger breeder and smaller ones. And it has two speed mode: low and high. It is rechargeable and comes with a USB cord. Also the best part is that it give us an additional grinder top!! Although I only tried once on my five-month miniature schnauzer (he is too young and has not get used to it), I am sure it is a good grinder and easy to use. Hopefully my baby will get used to it soon and be more relaxed when I grind the nail on his little feet, lol~~

This nail grinder inst strong enough for bigger dogs with ticker nails. When using it on my dog it would slow down like it was losing power on a full charge. Once removing it from my dog’s nail it would move at a faster speed. Overall it gets the job done for what I need, but it requires more time. I was planing on using this for work (doggy salon) but after testing it on my own dog this will just slow me down at work. Good for personal use but not for professional dog grooming.

I like how quiet it is and doesn’t bother our girlie as much as other brands. It’s very easy to use and battery seems to be holding fine. Only problem is, the product I received seems used or a returned item. Not as clean as it should be. But I’m lazy with returns so I kept it. If I had more time on my hands, I would have returned it.

The first use on my dogs was not successful. The instruction was to use 4-5 seconds at a time. Their nails were long and contact with the file would take a considerable amount of time. My dogs could not tolerate the length of time it would take to complete the job. I would have to take many breaks. I was not happy with that. The second time I used it, I clipped their nails with a nail clipper then smoothed the edge with this file. I liked the file better then. However, I purchased the grinder to eliminate using a clipper because of the likely hood of clipping the vein in their nail. Hence, the 3 star rating. I think, I'll not return it but keep it to smooth the nail edges.
