I have been using Ouidad forever, but their prices are crazy! I have been looking for a same or superior alternative that's less expensive and I stumbled upon Curlfriends. I found a new friend!I love this product. Dries with a nice shine and without the crunch effect. I part my hair in four sections and apply a dime size amount to each section. I comb it through to distribute evenly and let it go. I get good curl definition without the "Ricky James" look! LOL.Frizz control lasts all day, although it wears off by the next day. This is a light product so that's OK. I wash my hair everyday anyway.Highly recommends and I'm going to tell all my "curlfriends" about this control gel.

I love this product! Each person with naturally curly hair knows the struggle of finding the right products for their hair. I am a biracial woman with type 3b curls. Over the years I have tried just about everything under the sun. I felt like 'Curly Locks', "This product is too heavy, This one too light, this one too harsh, that one too oily..." and so the story goes.I decided to give CurlFriends a try. I bought the Conditioner and the Control Gel. I really love them both! It helps eliminate the friz and defines my curls well. I even bought a bottle of the Control Gel for a fellow naturally curly friend who is moving to a very humid climate and I look forward to hearing how it will work for her. I look forward to trying some the other CurlFriends products. I certianly would recommend that you give CurlFriends product too if you are a Curly-Q like myself.

This product really does a great job at defining my 4A curls. It contains propylene glycol which does a great job and keeping the moisture in your hair strands resulting in soft moisturized hair. After I run leave in condition through my hair, I put this in and it makes my hair feel soft and gives me bouncy curls! The only thing I didn't like was I didn't really give me much hold for my curls but I would purchase again since it really does a good job at defining curls. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for gels that help to define your curls!

Best curl product ever! I have tried everything from supermarket brands to high end salon products and nothing suited my naturally curly hair. The consistency is more of a serum-type product as the texture of it is rather "slippery." It is easy to apply and work with. This product is very reasonably priced and works great in the atomic humidity of SW Florida. It has a clean fragrance that will not "fight" with my other products, such as body wash and perfume. At long last, a product that actually does what it's supposed to do.

It's pretty good. I still mix it with mousse to get the right curl. I put it on when my hair is wet and use a diffuser to scrunch and dry.

I used to use Curl Friends when the gel was called "High Humidity Gel." It was amazing! No frizz....didn't take much product...a great gel! When they changed it I didn't try it until now. I spoke to Curl Friends before I bought it asking if it was similar to their old high humidity gel and the sales person assured me it was better so I was very excited to get my product. I found it here on amazon at a better price so I ordered. VERY runny is the first thing I noticed. I have a lot of long curly hair so I used 2 quarter sized amounts (double what they suggest). Once my hair dried it was as if there was nothing in my hair....frizzy... no definition....this product DID NOT WORK. I read some other reviews that said some of the same things. I tried the gel 3 different times on my hair using varying amounts..same results every time...frizzy fuzzy hair. I am going to try and return it and maybe order straight from Curl Friends and let you know I fit is different! I hope so! The old product used to be SO GOOD!

I rarely write Amazon reviews but this product is AMAZING. I have frizzy, biracial curly hair. I was going to cut all my hair off recently because I was so sick of it looking crappy, but decided I should try new products before making the chop. I ordered another gel from Amazon, but returned it because it was sticky and my hair didn't look good. Ordered Curlfriends next and I'm so happy! It eliminated the frizz and my curls are defined and bouncy. I use kms tame frizz as a conditioner, rinse out 90% of it, then apply about 3 dime size amounts (my hair is about to the middle of my neck). Wonderful product!!

I've been doing the modified curly girl method (no silicones, sulfates etc) for over ten years. My "holy grail" gel was recently discontinued and I've had a terrible time finding a replacement. Meanwhile my hair began to look terrible with the gels I've been trying out. I got so sick of it, I decided to dive back Into silicones and sulphates to see if my hair could possibly look good again. I ordered this gel, the shampoo and rinse out conditioner and my hair looks amazing! I'm in love with this gel. My hair holds the curl and feels so soft. It smells awesome. I think someone else said it smells like Clinique Happy and it does!I'm very happy. I hope with continued use it will work as well as it has so far.
