Dutch Country Classics Live Citronella Plant, Chases Away Mosquitoes, 4.5" Pot (Pack of 1)

Received 4 days after ordered, about 4 days before estimated delivery. USPS 5pm and potting, clean-up and at front door entry by 6! This was a reorder from last year that couldn't survive N.Texas winter indoors of house with dismal natural light after large and thriving.Much happier this year with arrival size! Last year skimpy and 'lost' in pot too long... already looks like it belonged when planted yesterday with twice the foliage. Last year was disappointed with arrival size and maybe my ordering a week or two earlier this year made the difference? Despite labeled as live plant and upright Arrow indicators, USPS chose to lie it down in my curbside mailbox, though I did see mail truck and retrieve immediately, then surprised it hadn't been left on my porch upright.. very healthy plant well packaged and moist and secure in small pot with foliage in perfect condition. Prefer this year's healthier size. Last year it stayed too long as a small seedling and much better value this year when already looks so much nicer.

Believe it or not - I live in Florida - I haven't seen a mosquito at my front door all summer since I put two of these by the front door. I'm a bug attracter and if there's a biting bug nearby, it finds me. It has actually been strange not having them around :-) I was concerned because the plants were small when they arrived, but they have gotten fuller in the last few months.

This plant works well to kill and repel all household bugs from roaches to silverfish. I even put them in my showers, the bathrooms proper. The steam helps to aide their growth.These last plants didn't grow even with me following the growers instructions.I will find some of my favorite plants somewhere. No home should be without them, ever. My last plant lasted about 7 years. It just expanded and came back year after year until this spring, its 8th year planted outside.

I'm going no where else for my plants now.I'm so happy with these.The pictures do not do it justice.These were so carefully packed that not even one leaf was damaged. 10 stars if I could!Thank you so much. Definitely buyin from you from now on.

Where to start. My plant, like the green leafy part, was buried in the dirt when it arrived. I had to dig it out of the pot while trying not to hurt the roots. I've had citronella plants before and this one felt super fragile. But it does what it's supposed to, keep the bugs away from the door.

The first 2 pictures are what this plant looked like when I removed it from the box it came in. It arrived in excellent condition. The last one is a couple of days after planting in my planter. I have ordered plants through Amazon before, but this one exceeded all of my expectations.

It’s grows nice ,but really doesn’t keep mosquitoes away too much.and the plant dies in cold weather so my last year plants went to garbage..I think the Home Depot plants are better because they got really big and smelled like citronella strong and kept bugs away better .this one does not smell and I don’t know why.

I received this plant yesterday and I was more than satisfied. It was packaged intelligently, in a net bag, and very full and healthy! It is not easy to send a plant through the mail, but I must say every care was taken, extremely happy!!!
