My daughter who is nine is a Di I enthusiast. This Christmas I got her this excavation kit. She loved it. It small , cute and when she is done digging up the Dino nones she can assemble it. She did say that it took to long to dig out the bones but for me that is a huge plus. I didn’t want her to be able to do it fast. She was able to do it in two sittings so I time then what I thought I was going to get out of it. She really loved it though. And the mask it came with was awesome . Made it so she didn’t inhale the dust and made her feel like a little Paleontologist

Got it as a gift for my future paleontologist. He loved it. It was harder to get out than those egg fossils but in a positive way and he was able to use all the tools to take it out of the brick. He was also able to put the model together. He was a happy camper. I'd love to see an even bigger version for as he gets older.

Great birthday present for an 8 year old easy for him to assemble and holds up well under hours of playtime

My son loves all things dinosaur! He opened this on Christmas morning and was done digging and assembling the following afternoon. If you have a child who really digs dinosaurs, paleontology etc. This is a must buy!

way cool sand I'd very dense soon maybe soak in water for 20 minutes before digging

A 4 year old boy , just a gift for being him! He loved it and it’s great for 2, one to help a child of that age. He & his Grandfather had a afternoon of fun, laughter, knowledge & Mess!!

My class used this as part of their dinosaur inquiry and loved it. They wore helmets and safety goggles, as well as paint shirts (a must) and were able to do this independently, including the assembly. The pieces are a little delicate, so it needs to be assembled carefully.
