Baby Animals (Baby's First) Board book – January 1, 2011

My 10 month old granddaughter loves this book. Each page has one beautiful photograph of ONE animal. No busy backgrounds, just the animal, so it's seems very appealing to a young baby. She is busy crawling and into exploring everything, but will happily stop if I lift her on my lap and flip through this book with her. She also likes Baby's First Foods, which also has ONE food on each page. A lot of the food is what she regularly eats which makes it special. The photographs are big, clear and simple.My one disappointment is its large size. I thought it would be child sized, like the Peter Rabbit books, but it is much bigger. This requires adult participation, which isn't a bad thing!

The book is adorable but was definitely in damaged condition (why I deducted stars). Besides condition the book was very cute!

We got this and the other books in the series when our daughter was around 6 months. She loved them then, and she still loves them. They are beautiful with one picture on each page, colorful, easy for a baby to use and not tear. The cover is soft around the corners and edges which is really nice for our baby :)

This series of board books is wonderful. I bought all 12+ of them & my 20 month grandson loves them. They hold his interest. He learns words & colors. He compares the pictures with things around him. They are very durable.

Bought this for my nephew who is only a little over a year old. He loves cardboard books since he can hold and flip the pages because they are thick.
