Don't look at the picture, look at the specs
I ordered this from the picture. When I opened the Amazon bag and looked, I thought "What the heck is this?" If I had read the spec I would have known this is a mini pen. As it turns out, this is a great fountain pen. The included photo shows from top to bottom: a. Zebra SL-F1 ST, b. Ohto Tasche, c. Lamy Pico. All are mini pens and all are around 4 inches. They all expand to a normal size, the Ohto by posting the cap. I am not a fountain pen connoisseur but I find that this pen writes boldly and smoothly. It's a keeper. BTW, you have to let the ink drain to the tip before using. I let it drain overnight (overkill). This pen may make me a fountain pen convert.

A parker vector for the year 2020
Hard to beat for a budget pocket pen, especially for a fountain pen. Are there some downsides yes, but basing the pen against the competition this one stands above. The feature that has drawn me to the fountain pen other than the slim wood pencil/ cigarette like body was the long cap. This has been the bane of all pocketable pens i have used. Short capped pens lose their cap, making them non pocketable by design. This tasche crosses that line with an extra long cap and a strong rubbized vapor seal inside the cap.The obvious down sides are the awkwardly thick and wide nib. It lines like a 2¢ bic, and dumps ink as quick as it breaks ink flow tension. Maybe someone prefers that somewhere but I narrowed the tip of the nib with a diamond grit sharpener before amazon notified me the package arrived. Its a huge improvement The nib shifts in place slightly but overall this problem is negligible.Next caveat is the clip... Its shiny/flashy but will soon snap if clipped to thicker pockets or pants pockets. Pentel sharp mechanical pencils (with a dab of super glue) will make a good replacement when original clip snaps. And just a note about the factory ink it, pull the ink out with a syringe, and squirt some higher quality stuff back in right after you pop the ball seal of the cartridge. Its nice that the pen came with ink but to fully appreciate a fountain pen a denser pigmented ink will improve the quality of the line.

Excellent Pen Bad Ink Cartridge
I really love this pen. I wanted something compact that could easily fit in small pockets. This pen is ideal for that purpose. It posts into a normal size and is easy to write with. However the ink cartridge it comes with is filled with poor quality ink. I used the cartridge until it was empty and had issues getting it to write after being capped for a day. I would recommend dumping out the ink in the cartridge and filling it with something better. I'm now using a higher quality ink in the pen and it makes a huge difference. I've left the pen capped for up to 6 months and it writes immediately without fail. The nib seems closer to a medium than a fine.

Great inexpensive carry pen
As others have said, I needed to adjust my nib because it arrived crocked and didn't not feed properly. This was as easy as just pushing the nib by the base to slightly rotate it so I could see the feed channel through the nib hole. The nib also has an off-center spilt between the tines but it doesn't seem to affect performance. It's very thin and very light. The cap has to be posted so it's long enough to hold but it wobbles a bit. For the price it's a very handy, very light fountain pen. I keep it on my lanyard so I don't care if it bangs around and gets scuffed.

i LOVE this little pen
i LOVE this little pen. I have a small Midori-style notebook that I carry in my back pocket all day every day and since i got this Ohto-Tasche pen it has been clipped in that notebook. I much prefer to write with a fountain pen but I was a bit apprehensive about carrying one where it would be sat on and turned in every possible direction all day long. This pen has performed perfectly! I take it out to jot notes a dozen or more times a day and it writes instantly and beautifully every time. I would agree with other reviewers that it seems to make a bit broader line than a true 0.5mm but the nib writes very smoothly and i find myself taking it out and using it even when other good quality full-sized pens are near at hand just because I like the way it writes so well. BTW, when I need to write very small, dense notes in my little notebook I often turn the pen over and write with the top side of the nib. Used this way it makes a razor-thin line and will do so for as long as I need to write without skipping or misbehaving in any way. I use it this way quite often and it performs like an XXFine nib. I like indelible ink so I refill the cartridge with Noodlers "bulletproof" ink using a small syringe. I am still using it this way with the one and only plastic cartridge that came with it and it has never leaked or failed to feed once. GREAT pen for the money!

A Little Gem of a Pen.
This really is a delightful little thing. It's very well, solidly constructed of metal, aluminum, I think. It posts firmly thanks to the rubber ring on the end of the barrel, and then when recapped does so with a satisfying click, all very smoothly. And when posted, it's actually quite a long affair, but extremely well balanced. The clip, if used, is firm but springy, though such is the pen's size, it can fit unobtrusively in any pocket. Beware, though, of letting it jostle around with keys or other hard objects; scratches are pretty much inevitable. The nib is small, a three or four perhaps, but I found it very smooth, especially for a 0.5, and it delivers a fine but crisp line with exceptional flow. I had a little trouble getting the flow started, but I was patient, and once started, the flow is excellent. In fact, it will lay down a line under no pressure but the weight of the pen itself. That's always a good sign. And for such a fine nib, I found it quite wet, another plus. I've had no hard starts or skipping. Be aware that the pen takes international short cartridges only, but remember that it's not difficult to refill cartridges with the bottled ink you prefer. It's a very slim thing, so if you prefer bulky, heavier pens, this might not be for you, but I find it comfortable to grip despite its lack of girth, and though the metal is pretty smooth, it's not at all slippery to hold. All in all, this is a little gem.
