Cat Chow Complete, 16 Pounds

We've been using Purina Complete and Purina Indoor cat chow for a number of years and our indoor cats have been healthy and active. They seem to relish it and visit their food bowls at least a few times a day and there have been absolutely no digestive problems. The ingredient list on Complete lists poultry by-products as the first or major ingredient and that's good considering that other food list grains as the major ingredient, and it does contain all the necessary components to keep the cat healthy - and this includes the critical taurine.It does contain somewhere around 11% fat and because of this we rotate the chow with  Purina Cat Chow Indoor Dry Cat Food  or  Purina Cat Chow Healthy Weight  and make sure that there is always adequate fresh water nearby since they only occasionally get supplemental wet food. I visited the Purina website and could find no information on feeding trials, but judging by the health of our cats they are getting everything they need.Since the Amazon product page doesn't list the nutritional analysis, so here it is:Protein (min.) 31.50 %, Calcium 1.1 %, Fat (min.) 11.00 %, Moisture (max.) 12.00 %, Fiber (max.) 4.50%, Phosphorus (min.) 1.00 %, Linoleic Acid (min.), 1.25 %, Arachidonic Acid (min.) 0.02 %, Taurine 0.125 %Overall, an excellent and nutritious cat food (but 4-stars because of what I consider to be a slightly elevated fat content).

Purina is an American success story, and for good reason. If you believe what they say about themselves on their website (and I do); you will know why they have been “nourishing & enriching” the lives of pets for almost 100 years. I can’t say it any better than they did...Purina says they have a continuing quest to drive pet nutrition forward and conduct industry-leading research on the wellbeing of pets...that quest pushes them to do more year after year. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to any pet lover; they started with Dog food in 1926; then Cat Food, and in 2020 - it is for good reason that they continue to be sold on every grocery shelf in the nation. They also have given over $10 million in annual investments toward pet welfare and pet communities. Purina is “the real deal”. And as a caveat... I find that Amazon is a great and competitive place to purchase this product.

About 3 or 4 years ago I began feeding a neighborhood stray cat so it would not starve. She was skinny and near death but I fed and watered her everyday and she is now a big fat happy street cat and judging from her battle scars this food has given her the power to defend herself. She has since brought a friend around with her. The price is affordable for me as I am a senior on social security and they love this food. I have 3 dogs in the house so I don't let them inside but they live in my garage out of the weather. I wish I could do more for them. But at this price I can afford it. A great value.

My cats love this cat food. I have bought them gourmet stuff, fancy homemade stuff, gluten free stuff, but they stick their noses up at all of it. No idea why cat chow is their favorite. I mean, it's awesome for me because it's so much cheaper than the gourmet stuff. They get this for breakfast every day and wet food for dinner. My big girl likes to eat hers and then run from bowl to bowl and eat everyone else's too. It's a big to do. She's always the first one in the kitchen.But yeah. My cats love cat chow. Probably for the same reason I love kraft macaroni and cheese, the kind with the orange powder. Mmm...powdered cheese. Ooh, I think I'll have that for lunch today!

Its cat food, havent tried it, but the cats took to it well. As picky as ours can be, they seem to like it and havent retaliated or tried to kill us yet. Its from a trusted brand, price is right. We own three cats and typically do our shopping for pets supplies three months or so at a time, this stores well, gets here fast, wont break your bank account or hurt its feelings. Our biggest thing was would the cats eat it, and they loved it. They switched brands with zero issues and this is what we will continue to buy moving forward. We did experiment with some of the other brands and flavors available, this one was the keeper. It doesnt stink, some brands were like blow you away with the fish smell.

I put fresh food & water out for my strays in the neighborhood. Sadly, when people lose their house they often forget to round up their wandering outdoor cats. I live in AZ so I like to ensure that there is always fresh water out for any animal who may need a drink. I purchased this cat food with my Prime Pantry & love the quick free delivery. The price point was also cheaper than if I were to get in the car, drive to wally world & buy it. After I open it I put it into a big plastic container so it stays fresh & no bugs or ants can get into it.

Foolishly, I bought my current cat, Scamp all those expensive foods thinking I was doing what was best for him. But he was not happy with the taste, but gained enormous amounts of weight and his coat looked terrible, either way too dry or too oily.When the economy took a downturn, I began feeding Scamp Purina Cat Chow and many wonderful things began to happen. Scamp loved the taste, his coat got soft and really healthy looking and felt fantastic. He is full of energy and is very playful and he even purrs when eating this food.I don't know what Purina's secret is but this is great cat food and I haven't found it cheaper anywhere else than Amazon's Prime Pantry.

Good, all purpose cat food at a reasonable price. Our cats are all healthy and well nourished so this stuff must be just as good as the pricey stuff. Of course, they supplement their diets by catching mice and gophers, which is their job. If you have an indoor pet, this may not fill all their requirements. Overall though, with all the problems reported n the news on pet food, I trust this brand. An old standby is still a good choice.
