There were quite a few different pregnancy recipe books I was looking at and I decided to go with this one and I'm really glad I did. The first few chapters are very straight forward information on nutrition in pregnancy., which I found helpful. Then the rest is recipes it covers, breakfast, snacks, beverages, sandwiches, main dishes, and desert. The recipes are nutritious and very tasty ( the few I've tried so far) I think it's important to remember that this is a book providing very healthy and nutritional recipes for pregnant women, the recipes aren't all "quick and easy". They take some time and meal prep, but they are worth it.

GREAT COOKBOOK!  I am pregnant with my first baby and, like most expecting mothers, have made the decision to make nutritious food decisions during this critical period of fetal development.  My husband and I consider ourselves foodies, so when I discovered the Foodie Physician I could not wait to check out her cookbook.  The recipes are awesome...delicious and nutritious.  An added feature is that Dr. Ruder goes the extra step and describes how the ingredients of each recipe will benefit mom and baby.  I will definitely continue to make these recipes long after our little one arrives!

This is a beautiful cookbook with easy, nutritious recipes. A beautiful book to have out in the kitchen.  I recently made the fresh strawberry cake, which uses Greek yogurt. It was a delicious hit.  I'm looking forward to trying more recipes.  The Berry and Ricotta Stuffed French Toast looks amazing. First section is about Food Safety and Health during pregnancy which is helpful. Info on nutrition and dealing with cravings, as well as which foods to avoid. Highly recommend this cookbook. Also makes a nice gift for pregnant friends.
