Hoocap DSLR 77mm lens cap + hood shade 2in1 for filter thread lens TR77

Seems like a great concept but for me cannot even get a chance to try using it because of what I would consider poor quality control. The filter has a latching mechanism and supposedly the ability to rotate the lens to get the proper alignment on the camera lens. The lens cap I received will not rotate. You can unlatch it but the rotation mechanism is frozen. Believe me I tried for 90 minutes to move it without major surgery or brute force. They provide a filter wrench which is a perfect tool to rotate but no matter how much pressure it will not move. The unit appears to very strong as the cap took significant rotation pressure from the filter wrench as I tried to move the rotation mechanism with no distortion. Of course it did not move. I am sending it back and crossing this product off my bucket list. Waste of time and money. Why so harsh? If they can’t make a product that works as designed, which seems so straightforward and simple, that costs a lot of money and when it appears more thought when into the packaging rather than the quality control of the product it is a waste of time.The item itself is packed in very nice packaging. I wonder if the packaging costs more than the product itself. I wish they would QC the products. Also, the information on how to mount and align the lens is marginal and would be ok if the product worked as designed. When it doesn’t work as designed there needs to be a contact point and better instructions. Nice packaging but very poor product quality (because the product doesn’t work as designed). It should not never left the factory with these problems.I would not recommend, you are on your own for this very expensive product for what it is. It does cost 45x that of a regular lens cap.

The hood fall apart after a few months of uses. Would not recommeded. Not are if there is any warranty.Will provide update if was able to get warranty service.
