This was the Alien 3 we needed and deserved.
Such an amazing story! Following the events of Aliens the spot light is on Bishop and Hicks for this alternative story.Brilliantly produced as we’ve come to expect from Audible and so great having Michael Beihn and Lance Henricksen back.Happy Alien day everyone!

Entertaining ideas which could of been
I had heard that there was an audio reading of a possible version of alien 3 out there and come across this whilst checking out what's out there. The coverart is beautiful and the artwork is astounding. The story is entertaining and explores topics which eventually we moved into in the 90's (such as cloning, dolly the sheep), and the idea or space Marxists wanting to keep up with the weapons of capitalists draws parallels to the cold War.Being a dark horse comic you can tell this script had to be stripped down to get into the comic books which sadly takes alot of potential dialog and character development. But was still a fun read nonetheless.Happy and entertained with this and will no doubt come to read again and enjoy again.

A fantastic listen at what might have been
For those who weren't too happy with the direction Fincher's Alien 3 went in, particularly with the untimely demise of certain characters, then this is a great chance to see what might have been. Based on a popular unused screenplay by cyberpunk author William Gibson, this story explores the mythos in a new and exciting way. Henriksen and Biehn slip back into their roles effortlessly and although they sound a little older and deeper, listeners are given a refresh of the story so far by Henriksen as the narrator which works well to get you used to the matured voices. One thing to remember is while other great audiobooks in the Alien franchise are a good few hours long, this particular one is developed from a movie sized screenplay and so fans expecting four hours of adventure might be disappointed at the length. Ripley fans may also be dismayed that their favourite hero does not play so large a role in this chapter and really the boys are given a chance to shine this time around. The atmosphere and tension of the Alien series is faithfully translated in this audio drama and it's a fantastic peek into the direction the movies could have taken.

The movie we should have got.
The definitive version of Alien 3. While some of its ideas may seem out their the addlest make sense instead of it happening for the sake of plot convenience. The art work it great, and it adds a new element to the alien universe. If alien 3 a long with Prometheus and Covernment left you dead inside then this may raise your spirits. A must read for all fans.

What Alien 3 should have been.
Great production. Great cast. Good storyline. Shame they didn’t go with this screenplay instead of the dross we got for the A3 release.

Fascinating!
Really fascinating insight into what Alien 3 could have been. It's true that Ripley is mostly absent from this story but considering the brief Gibson got for this story, it's not surprising. Loved the ideas and was good fun, would love to see some of these ideas crop up in future movies. Is it better than the Alien 3 we got...yes and no. Alien 3 despite being very disliked... Its not a terrible film and it has some strong, very well done scenes. This book has some fantastic scenes but it suffers from lack of Ripley.

Ugh, gross!
Not really what I was expecting - this is essentially a fully blown radio drama with score, full voice cast, sound effects, etc. It all felt a bit over baked to me, and some of the acting wasn't great (not helped by video game-level dialogue, "ugh, gross!' was shouted multiple times by one character as they watched someone die). Suspense goes out the window in favour of a lot of uninteresting characters arguing or being killed. There's some fun to be had with the original cast back as Hicks and Bishop, but milage may vary depending on taste and expectations.

Alien Fan must have
I love the assembly cut of Alien 3, I think if Fincher went back an touched up that version of his film it would be truly amazing. However in another world this film would have been made and it would have rocked too. This collection is fantastic and is a must have!

Fast Shipping and Excellent Condition
Arrived faster than expected and is in near-immaculate condition with a protective sleeve and cardboard backing. As to the actual comic, I've only just started but it is already more interesting than the film, and the illustration work is excellent!

Missed opportunity
Gibson crafted a story that fit perfectly into the "Alien" universe, respecting what had come before while widening the world and introducing a creepy new way for everyone's favourite boogey-monster to make an entrance. The entire surviving cast from "Aliens" also gets more respect, rather than being tossed aside so carelessly. This would have been an interesting movie to see. Giler and Hill missed an opportunity when they discarded this script.

Schöner Druck
Die Illustrationen, der Druck alles in guter Qualität. Das Buch verdient sich seinen Regalplatz. Die Storie spannend dargestellt und am Ende ein paar Skizzen und Artworks.
